The season has 14 episodes I think, and I’d say that the tryout arc will take up about 4-6 episodes max. After that we get right into the U-20 match, so they will definitely wrap these two arcs up by the end of the season. Most manga readers consider the U-20 match the peak of the manga, and by the looks of the first episode 8bit will adapt it really well. I’m so hyped to finally see this animated!!

it's a shame they didn't show the match between kunigami and shidou because shidou is absolutely cracked. the first interaction we see between him and igaguri in the manga is him about to axe kick him in the head and end his whole life, but kuni stops him. the whole chapter is WILD.
