That's a great tune, love Shoreditch Polka! I'm always mystified by the apparent ease with with you come up with new songs, Peakfiddler. I wouldn't even know where to start, but keep up the good work! :)

Marcia, I'm hoping to record this with the banjo and other instruments, so hopefully at the same time I'll figure out the notation, best wishes as always.

Seems similar in structure to Frankie Rodgers' original version of the Ookpik Waltz but quicker.

The tune you made up in the beginning, I'm sure I've heard it before. The name of it, is on the tip of my tongue, (no pun intended). I think it must be in an English fiddle tune book I have, tho it's not in my home now, or I'd check it. Maybe you've seen the book, it's white and blue, with round plastic rings, for the binder. The book starts with easy tunes, like this one your playing. I remember it, because I played it often, in the 1990s, but not since then. When I find my book, I'll look for the tune, and write back. I guess then, I'll edit this post.

Hi Kay, I have Bb, C & D as well as a couple of low pipes (whistles) one in D and one in C. They are useful to be able to accompany the fiddle.
