That view of the fremont river trail is so beautiful! I want to go there for the Oct 14th annular eclipse. The center line will pass through Capitol Reef!

We got there early to get pies! 🥧 Yummy! Loved the Grand Wash Trail and Hickman Bridge Trail. It's definitely one of my favorite NPs!!! ❤️

I love the history here & the ranger’s knowledge & passion! Ranger Eric is the bomb!

The fruit pies are a main stay with us, every time we camp at Fruita Campground. And the Cathedral Valley loop drive is worth the 5 - 6 hours of 4 wheeling. The deer roaming through the area, ranger shows, scenic drive and washes, dark sky nights with stars - all worth it.

Oh what fun! Tim and I haven’t visited Capitol Reef NP yet, but NOW (due to your excellent video and informative narration!) my Bucket List is even longer. I can’t wait to take our Lucy Navion there! I am ALSO petrified of heights, Katelyn, so you won’t find me up in those high places! It is so amazing just how beautiful our Country is, and with such diverse landscapes…as-always, with so many thanks for sharing your travels with me (and everyone else!), always bringing a smile to my face, Much Love, Virginia 💕

We visited this park - beautiful! And full disclosure ... we bought one of every flavor of pie 😋 Thanks for sharing about the bats - didn't realize that - we did see the "mines" tho. I love that Fremont River trail y'all did. It was pretty hot when we were there - oh and one of the days it was pretty rainy but I would have liked to have done that. We're happy to say we did all of the big 5.

My wife and I love your series on the national parks. A interesting documentary by Ken Burns, "The National Parks, America's Best Idea," is well worth the time to look at.

Loved visiting Capital Reef last year! Thanks for such a great video showing its beauty and a few things we missed! Loved the campground and trails you showed! We missed those during our day trip. I really love telling others about this park. Everyone needs to visit Capital Reef!

Stunning views! It's incredible to see first hand all those layers of rock and then realise just how different the topography was during those time periods - nature's science & history lessons! Thanks so much for sharing and by the way - how were those luscious looking pies?

Yeah I’ll be spending a lot of time in Utah. I’d like a week at each park. I’ll definitely research the slow times of the year though 😂

Utahn here, Spring and Fall are great. Summers are crazy. I'd say come in May at the latest or after Labor Day.

I am interested in these videos of desert like ancient areas just to see the petroglyphs, interestingly here they talk about faded petroglyphs too, but at 0:53 there is a big carved face on that rock, they didn't talk about that
@NewstateNomads7 ай бұрын
Interesting, I watched several times the clip you mentioned, but didn't see the carving you mentioned (do you just mean the natural shape of the rock at :53?). If you're interested in petroglyphs, you should definitely check out our older episode from Canyonlands NP with Newspaper rock. Thanks for watching! 👍 -Howard kzbin.info/www/bejne/aIuyeKmnm6errNk
