Excellent video and presentation. Capitol Reef is one of our great favorites. If it is still in business Cafe Diablo in Torrey has great food. The name may now be "El Diablo" It was a surprise to find an award winning 5-star restaurant in this great little town. Hope they are still in business. Fruita campground is an outstanding place, a real oasis in the middle of the park. First come-first served basis no reservations, or used to be that way. Your film makes me want to grab my hiking boots and head out!

Cafe Diablo (which I believe was called El Diablo before that) closed a few years ago, the building is now the Hunt and Gather restaurant which is getting good reviews.

Great video! This area of Utah often feels empty and forgotten, just the way we like it. Thanks for mentioning "pack in - pack out." This seems like it should be a no-brainer, but a stop along almost any pull out will reveal the evidence of others that just don't give a damn. We put several plastic grocery bags in our day packs, so that we are always ready to pick up trash when we go out on hikes.

The views from the Cathedral Valley campground are of the Cathedrals not the Temples of the Sun and Moon in the video, which are some 15-20 miles away. There is a tiny area on the spur road to the Temples just outside the park where people tent camp sometimes. You are not allowed to camp inside the park near the Temples.

Great info -- can't wait to get back here. Did you pull your Airstream down the sandy roads to Cathedral Valley?
@Campendium4 жыл бұрын
Seth reports that, no, he didn’t take their Airstream to Cathedral Valley. Given the challenging roads, it seemed like more of a 4x4 truck camper or tent camping situation. Happy travels! - Liz

New sub, great content, thanks for the work you put into these. I was in the boy scouts back in the 70's and have been up and down the Appalachian trail (different sections at different times). I also like boondocking in a small rig. It was drummed into our heads as kids to leave NO trace. It is surprising and disturbing at how much rubbish I've picked up over the years. Really not a fan of the ignorance shown by people unwilling to clean up after themselves.

This has nothing to do with this video. The last one you posted was on Thanksgiving day and it said it was private, so it's blank and I can't view it. I do have a membership with you if that helps. I don't know. Thank you for any help. And Happy Thanksgiving. Hope I get to view the video.

Why do people litter. They are there enjoying the beauty of nature's wonders. If you ever catch someone littering. Call them out. Embarrasse them. Tell them it's not ok ! That's one thing that gets my goat !
