The "copper hammer" that Kirsty found looks more like a soldering iron used for soldering sheet metal. It would have been heated up in a flame prior to use. My father had something similar and I saw him use it quite often when making things.

One other thing that arrow pointer thingy Nigel found may be off a WW1 tank. I seem to remember they had some form of visual signaling to other tanks as it was very noisy inside. Not had chance to research just something that I thought of while watching.

Wow!! What an astonishing variety of finds!! So glad folks were able to check things off their bucket lists. I believe the triangular item at 22:20 is an enamelware kitchen strainer. It would be placed in the corner of the kitchen sink to catch scraps as a person was preparing vegetables, so they could easily removed to be put in the trash or compost. (Enamelware was also called agateware.) What a lovely find Nigel had with that teapot. It certainly cleaned up nicely!!

I am just amazed by the shear volume of finds that everyone pulled out of the water. The variety was also astounding. It’s a shame the firearms couldn’t have gone to a museum. This is something that you all will remember for some time. Congratulations ❤

I believe the regulation still applies in that any firearms considered rare or collectible recovered in a "deactivated by other means " state , I.e. rusted solid , the local chief police officer has the responsibility of offering them to a local or any other museum for display . The largest collection is at the Combined Military Services Museum in Maldon , Essex who would be more than interested in part of the recovery ..

At the 6:00 mark, it was either a round or a load, depending on where you come from, as the cartridge appeared to be intact. Straight after that, was a soldering iron, not a hammer! At 17:16 the Luger, more than likely was NOT from WW2 years. First manufactured in 1898 so could easily have been WW1 swag. Officers often carried their father's or even grandfather's service weapon in WW2.

Peaky, that oblong with the hooks at 3:19 is a pot rack that hangs from a ceiling in high class kitchens or restaurants kitchen ceilings. The bolt action rifle at 16:10 looks like my 1903 Erfurt Mauser rifle I had when I was a fancier. It was a bolt action and 9 mm. So many sore shoulders from firing that beast. Great video. . 6:20- That is not a hammer but a specific type of soldering iron. They still currently use that style in Pakistan to re-manufacture batteries for vehicles. Depending on the age, heated in a forge or with a blow lamp. 7:30- Beautiful old French Bayonet. . The number of pistols and rifles was incredible! I have to wonder if it was somebodys collection. That is one killer tea pot!!! If you remove the handles from the Samurai Swords there will be a makers mark on the tang. The Tsubas alone may be worth thousands of dollars, as they are quite a collectable. I do hope you were able to keep the old flintlock weapons and the swords. That is a really memorial day for all.
