The restoration job has turned out fantastically. The bells sound magnificent now. I love the sound of them. Well done to all involved with ti!

Can't say I care for these much from this recording, they seem a bit "twangy", Gillette and Johnston style, and I've never liked the G&j style of sound on lighter rings.

As a comparison, here are how the bells used to sound inside kzbin.info/www/bejne/goKUhpKqr5iMq7s and kzbin.info/www/bejne/hZjIgJSVr9mWmqM and here is a recording of outside and inside after restoration kzbin.info/www/bejne/f4jUoqVpfbqWj8k so you can compare. The bells before restoration were a mixture of bells, mainly Taylor's, including 1,2,7 from 1899 (so Simpson profile), and all were tuned by Taylor's then. The bells were rehung by Gillett and Johnston in 1949, but I don't think they were retuned then. This time, Taylor's, as a subcontractor, cast replacements for 3,4,5 and sent them to Whites of Appleton as maiden bells. Whites of Appleton then tuned all of the bells together. So they are a a complete Taylor ring (of various ages), tuned by Whites of Appleton.
