There used to be this place near my college that sold a burger where the bun was just two glazed donuts and the patty was smothered in peanut butter and bacon. In Iceland there was a hamburger restaurant that had this promotion with an Icelandic rapper called "Hnetusmjör" (peanut butter). He was basically allowed to design his own hamburger with whatever ingredient he wanted on there, and of course he put peanut butter in it. I remember thinking it was silly, but a lot of people told me that it's actually really tasty and that they're ashamed at how good they found the burger.

Near where I live there's this dive called "The Other One", with a bar called "The Other Room" that has a TON of experimental burgers. Seriously, the menu takes up an entire wall floor to ceiling. There's a black and blu, an aloha, a burger with grilled cheese buns, a falafel burger, a burger on a sliced donut, one with the toppings stuffed within the patty, etc. But the one that everyone was skeptical about was the peanut butter bacon burger. But it's now one of their most popular items. Peanut butter absolutely belongs on burgers.
