Hi Janet. I just found your channel, and after seeing this recipe, that I’ve been searching for, I became a fan and a subscriber. I’m wondering about that dispenser you used to hold the peanut butter. I’ve never seen that before, and it works better than anything else I’ve seen to dispense sticky peanut butter. What is it, and where did you find it? Thanks for all the inspiration 🙏🏼

My recipe is a little different. Add a little vanilla extract after adding the peanut butter, and add rice krispies instead. Old recipe from 1970. You can even drizzle a little melted hersheys chocolate bar over them. So good. ( I remove from heat the second it begins to boil so bars are extra chewy.)

I've thought about making them from Rice Krispies. And chocolate makes everything better!
@BJD-d6t

After I drop them onto a buttered cookie sheet or parchment paper, I put them in the fridge to cool down. If you cook the sugar and syrup too long, they will get hard. Take off heat as soon as those bubbles start forming in center of your kettle. Good luck. Sooooo good.
@janetsmart-countryliving1059

@@BJD-d6t I was thinking that since the RIce Krispies are so small, that the consistency would be tighter and maybe harder.
@BJD-d6t

I've been making them with rice krispies for over 40 years. They are chewy. You have to remove the syrup from the heat the second the small bubbles begin in the center of the kettle to get the chewy consistancy desired. Soooo good. @@janetsmart-countryliving1059

@@janetsmart-countryliving1059 We used to make these at Christmas and they are very easy. I forget the exact details -- I am 73 abd this was about 50 years ago. You use coconut, powdered sugar, sweetened condense milk heated in a sauce pan and it may call for vanilla too. I forget. Roll this mixture into round balls and either put in fridge or freezer and when hard dip into melted chocolate and place on wax paper to cool. Oh, and it may also call for chopped pecans. They are to die for!! So rich I think about 3 is all you could eat before going into sugar overload and dying!!
