Wow! Began my electronics career at Pearce Simpson. Fresh out of technical school 1979 till it folded in 1983. The Guardian was obsolete by then but I did work with the vhf marine units and depth sounders. Great experience for a young tech at the time. Thanks for the video.

The Pearce-Simpson Guardian 23 was my first CB radio back in the 70's. Had lots of fun on that radio.

That is the most beautiful Guardian I've seen since taking mine out of the box in the 70's. If you ever find another like it, i'd love to buy it. Thanks for the video. It brought back many wonderful memories.

Very nice CB radio I've never seen one of these before but I really like the radio and I've been on the CB 11 meters for the last 28 years and it's all been really good fun and I have spoke to some weird and wonderful people on the CB in the past but they have all gone now and I still use it to this very date and will continue until I'm a silent key and the same thing with the amateur radio I'll never give up because of myself being a dedicated operator. Thanks and best 73's. Stephen M3SNV 73's.

Looking through storage today and come across one of these I forgot I had. I think I may have salvaged it from a house we bought to make a rental several years ago. I ventured to plug it in, expecting the worse. If came to life. No antenna on it but did venture a quick click of the D104 mike that came with it and meter instantly pegged to the right so I think the thing will still work. Will get it hooked to an antenna soon and see.

Very high power for that period compared to small car devices with barely 2 W and poor modulation. High sensitivity. Excellent CB radio. Real.

Keep your eyes open for an Electro-Voice 602 FH noise cancelling High impedance handheld push-to-talk microphone. You can find them really cheap on eBay every once in awhile

I realize that I'm a little late to the party, but if you still have this Guardian might it be for sale? How would you compare this Guardian to a Johnson Messenger 223? Thank you & 73 de 2WR-01

No this one is sold but I got one that is unused, brand new in the original box. I was going to put it on eBay. You can send me a private email with an offer if you want. Cheers.

@@LifeIsTooShortForQRP Is the condition, both aesthetic & functional, as good as the one in the video?
@LifeIsTooShortForQRP10 ай бұрын
The one in the video is nice but used. The other one that I still have is new in the original box, never used. So, it is better than the one in the video. Cheers.
