I was there and watched Eddie make his way around the edge of that balcony and then drop himself into the crowd. One of the best shows I've been to....

I was fortunate to be there, and it's a show (hopefully) I'll never forget. To be 21 again, watching your favorite band on the cusp of super stardom, in an old, small "rock and roll" church in NYC...man, life was damn near perfect at that point in time. Such great memories...was in a tug of war battle over Ed's dime store cardigan with a kid I had never met vs. two other dudes...we gave up, laughed, and continued in the pit.

God I miss those days. The early 90s were absolutely magical. I was in my early 20s as well. I couldn't have hoped for a better time period to be in my 20s. I can't imagine being that age in today's world. That would suck.

There were many iconic "Limelight" shows during the '80s and '90s. I designed, installed and operated the clubs sound system from '83 until it closed in '96. "Rock & Roll Church" every sunday at "The Limelight" was amazing for over a decade. "Guns & Roses" played the "Limelight" before the legendary "Ritz" show and in the audience was "Frank Ferrer" their current drummer. "Pearl Jam" put on a great show, it's loud and clear without feedback. The next day the system worked fine, just another show.

Who was that on stage for I Got a Feeling? Was that some random person in the crowd or someone Ed knows?
@laurienorton34639 ай бұрын
If I remember correctly, he was just a random guy that was trying to get up there all night. Ed finally tells security to let him up. What a night!!

Interesting how Dave ruined every single version of Release he played by being too aggressive and loud. He's a great drummer, but subtlety is not his thing.
