Thanks for all your kind words. I was the one holding the video camera... Good to hear everyone has enjoyed a piece of rock history that I filmed (and was ripped off).

I'm 20 years old, I'm from Brazil, and a big fan of PJ, they changed my life, it's really cool to see the beginning of everything in the 90s, a time I'll never live in, thanks man

@miguelesteves8700 right on! Great to see a new generation plugged into this great music. I have a son about your age and it's been cool to see him turn on to this stuff as well.

@natevandizzy I was able to record the show because my friend's band (Lazy F) played with PJ this night. A copy of the tape ended up at his apartment and his roommate at the time ripped it off. Somehow, years later it ended up on a few websites for sale and then once KZbin got up and running it was posted here. At this point, it's all water under the bridge and I'm just happy to have contributed a bit to R&R history.

It always amazes me that this show happened a few days after Jeff, Stone and Mike met Eddie, they sound like they been playing together for at least a few months :)

Actually they did (except for Eddie): green river, mother love bone

I keep wondering why they never played this again. Just one more time after this show and that was it. Killer track. At least they put it on the Ten Reissue. And thanks for uploading this gem. Incredible piece of history!

WHEN EDDIE WAS IN HIS BAND BAD RADIO, HE WOULD SING IN FRONT A SMALL CROWD SO, IM SURE THIS MANY PEOPLE IN THE CROWD WAS OVERWHELMING FOR EDDIE. HE WAS QUITE COMFORTABLE IN FRONT OF A SMALL CROWD IN SAN DIEGO AND THE REST IS HISTORY! THANK YOU FOR SHARING! 😊💓🔥🤘✌️ I LOVE PEARL JAM!

I remember Stone making a little fun of Eddie in an interview saying he would sing with head down, hair over face, lol. Shy Eddie is even more adorable. It had to be pretty terrifying, but man they have come a long way. I bet he couldn’t imagine at this time singing in front of a a crowd like the Pinkpop crowd. How intimidating.

Just watched the whole show....unreal. They knew they had something special from the beginning. You can tell by listening and watching....We can only hope for 20 more years of these guys!

@natevandizzy Yeah, I always say that I turned 21 at the best possible time in Seattle (1989). We regularly saw everyone you listed, other than GR. They'd already broken up by the time I got turned on to the scene; finally started seeing them after they reunited at the SubPop 20 festival. It was a magical time, in addition to your list there was AIC, Screaming Trees, and a whole host of other lessor know bands. I have hand written set lists from everyone listed above.

@natevandizzy Nope, no one's ever contacted me. It could also be that the footage from the 2nd show is a lot better - it's professionally done. If you've watched all the songs from this show you can see that I was a pretty big Stone fan - the camera spent lots of time on him. I always loved Green River and saw lots of MLB shows, usually ending up at the stage in front of him.

Just that a copy of the tape was stolen from a friend's apartment - probably 20+ years ago now. It ended up getting fairly widely distributed (sold by others) before it ended up on KZbin (once KZbin came into existence).
