Ha! It seems nobody told you that Eddie Vedder is not only a great singer, he's also a performer. He loves to climb everywhere. Well...I don't think he still do the same nowadays, but he always gave EVERYTHING in Pearl Jam shows.

For the first few years after Pearl Jam was formed and started doing concerts Eddie Vedder was either climbing everything, swinging across the rafters, jumping into the crowd or something....his bandmates were always scared to death that he was going to really hurt himself or worse, they would continue jamming but they were keeping an eye on him lol

Eddie Vedder had a reputation for climbing up the rigging, monkeying along lighting rigs and falling/diving into the crowds. He used to terrify the other guys in the band with it. I think that's why the guitarist looks shook at the end, he couldn't see where Eddie had gone, just that he'd dived off the camera. There's more to that story too. They went back to the Netherlands a couple years ago and Eddie talked about this event on stage there saying he'd thought about it for more than twenty years. He thought the camera guy hated him for doing that and he seemed genuinely worried about that. They looked him up when they got there and met him again, he wasn't mad at all, it was the highlight of his career. He was at the return gig as Eddie's guest. This video is a good one to show both sides of Vedder. He was insanely reckless during their shows, but incredibly caring too. When you see the crowd collapse under him you can see him stopping and checking that everyone is okay. When he gets back on stage he goes back again to make sure everyone got up. You have to remember that this wasn't long after several audience crush incidents where people were severely injured or killed just through bad crowd management and someone falling down in that kind of mess. I would recommend reacting to this video of Eddie climbing everything - kzbin.info/www/bejne/e4qkhWeAhK97ga8

And then came Pearl Jam along Hello!!! 🤪 shortly followed by Nirvana, for us! There were some other great bands...ofc one listened Pearl Jam and Nirvana, U2, Rage against the machine , Pennywise, Rammstein to name some others, , to get us completely interested and we had the Gathering 🤘 to set things really up for a lovely journey... Freddie Mercury and a few more but that is EPIC! Still being able to sing after all that lol 🤣😝. Poor band that followed them!! That was Pearl Jam’s last song of that particular performance! This is why the 90's was THE BEST music ever made! Soooo much talent back then. Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, RATM, Soundgarden w/Chris Cornell, Pantera, Lincoln Park, Evenesence, Guns N Roses, Stone Temple Pilots, Disturbed, even Metallica was in their prime and had their new Black album release. It was an awesome time to be young and MTV even played music vids back then. There was Head Bangers Ball which was the shit! You young people today have really missed out on what great music is, it was a great time to be alive!!!! Music today is the crappiest shit I've ever heard! There are a few exceptions but not many. Detrucci just continue to watch all these and absorb brother cause I can tell you are a 90's child at heart. Thank God for great video and great ! Rock on my brother!! 🎶

Detrucci, great reaction! Isn't that amazing? Let me tell you, the UNPLUGGED version of that song is also totally amazing!! If you want to get your mind around that song, in a better way, then also watch the unplugged Porch. That version is crazy too but it's just a bit more controlled. You'll love it, trust me! Also, I hope you to "State of Love & Trust" that I requested a while back, from the unplugged performance as well. Both those songs are high-intensity and raging rockers!
