Thanks, Paul. Funny enough, I can say it feels a bit like the Future on the upper settings, say 4 and higher. The handle is easier to grip though, right? I'm curious but nervous at the same time about your new straight razors. I'm sure it will be fine. Have a great week my friend!

I appreciate the feedback and the vote of confidence. I don't mind accepting products for review but I'm going to be honest (respectful but still honest). I'm not sure if I left a comment but the slow motion snow (snow motion?) was a neat idea. I always forget that I have that feature. Have a great week!
@jcshaves Жыл бұрын
@@BetterEveryShave yeah I forget the snow mo too but for some reason remembered. Yes I think most viewers appreciate honest opinions not just saying everything is great just because it was sent to you. I’m sure companies do it as a free advertising but they have to take the criticism when warranted as well.

Hey Eric, great video. That pearl sounds like a cool little razor. I may just have to take a look at what they have. Have a good one, and I will see you in the next video.

Lance! How's it going, man? Pearl has been making more budget oriented gear for a long time but they are starting to step it up with their newer razors and soaps. The Flexi and Blaze in particular are very nice. I hope you have a wonderful week!

@@BetterEveryShave hey Eric, doing pretty good this week. I hope you have been doing good as well. Just been waiting on two mail calls to make a video; will be doing the video here in a bit. From what I understand, pearl was the maker of the old school razorock jaws. I was turned on to the Totra Blades by a subscriber that sent me some stuff a bit ago. Those are absolutely awesome blades.
@BetterEveryShave Жыл бұрын
They are the ones that I actually stand a chance of using 100 and needing more. I hope that everyone's can find their favorite blade. It's so nice to have something reliable.

Good Evening @TheRustyRazor. We are an artisan soap maker, Hendrix Classics. I'm starting a new thing where we will watch a shaving enthusiast's KZbin channel and do a random drawing from the folks who comment. The purpose being to encourage people to watch and comment on these folks videos. Congratulations, you are the current winner. Rather than telling you what the prize is, you can choose an item in the $21ish range. Let me know and I'll send it to you.

Nice one Eric. Gotta love your attention to detail. That razor doesn’t sound like something I would enjoy personally, but I’m happy to see they’re making a high quality product that’s competitively priced. Take care now!

Not for me either however it seems reasonably popular and I've heard several people say they enjoy how it shaves. There's plenty of room for new razors, particularly affordable ones.

Great! I like that you explained the aggressive and efficient terminology so people have a better understanding of their meaning. I have a more than couple of aggressive razors that aren't that efficient and I have couple of moderate razors that are very efficient. The funny thing I've found is that straights/shavettes don't really feel aggressive at all and I only get that feeing in some safety razors. I like the scent of Nag Shampa, but surprisingly I've never checked out Stirlings offering. Good to know that it's super strong. Not all strong scents bother me so I might have to check that one. I'm a big fan of your "commentary" shaves. I really think they're great and if I were going to do a shaving channel I'd steal that idea-borrow it.
@BetterEveryShave Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the compliment! You are welcome to use the format. I think I'll eventually try a kamisori style shavette that uses an Artisan Club blade. I'm afraid of a half DE version because besides the Leaf Twig, every half DE blade razor I have used was way too harsh. Honestly, I get such good shaves now with the collection I have that there's no real need for anything else. Thanks for the comment!
@lastshadow9351 Жыл бұрын
@@BetterEveryShave The AC shavettes are good and so are the hair shaper blade razors like the Weck. The blade really makes the difference in any of the shavettes. I'm glad you have a good collection that works great for you because in the end that's what we are trying to accomplish.
@BetterEveryShave Жыл бұрын
Awesome! I have looked at the Weck ones and wondered how they shave. They make a really cool sound for what it's worth. I don't have a strong desire to get into open blades at the moment but I may bug when I get there.

Hello. Is very agressive? O not?
@BetterEveryShave Жыл бұрын

Great review video Eric, Pearl are making some nicely finished razors at a reasonable price, sounds a bit on the aggressive side & heavy for me though. It seems Indian made razors are on the aggressive side.👍🤠
@BetterEveryShave Жыл бұрын
I agree with that so far, having tried this one, the K2, and the Flexi. I've heard good things about the Blaze so I'm hoping it's a bit milder. Have a great week!
@randyshaves7956 Жыл бұрын
Nice review Eric. It doesn't sound as though I would enjoy the razor due to the aggressiveness. I am like you in that I like an efficient razor, but not one with a lot of blade feel. The blade forward issue was all I needed to hear as I do not like positive blade exposure on a razor. I guess that's why I love the 6s and the Yates 921M so much. They are both very efficient without the aggressiveness. Thanks for the review. It is reviews like this that help me when it comes to what to look into and what to leave alone. I believe I will leave this razor alone. 😉 Thanks again!

Is it safe to shave with a zamak razor whose plating is worn out ?
@HendrixClassics Жыл бұрын
Avishek, I would suggest against using the razor. Properly made Zamak is non toxic. However, some manufacturers put heavy metals into it. It wouldn't be comfortable for me to shave with one.
