I think I found your videos nearly 5 years ago. I don’t think you knew how good you were then but I love the happier, more confident Dwight of today. When I saw pearl pour on my list I had to watch and I love it. Thank you.❤

Excellent as always. I’ll have to remember to not have my paints as thin as the dump and swirl paint thanks for the reminder🤗

Yes! These were the paintings you were doing when I first discovered you. Love them💕. Elyse Fournier...such an inspiration as are you.

This is gorgeous 😊. Unfortunately the artist loft paint is sooooo expensive to buy here in the UK. Wish I could find an alternative. Because I love this piece of artwork 😍
@dwightpours1261Ай бұрын
I haven’t experimented with other paints unfortunately, however, I’m thinking it’s mostly the floetrol and not as much the paint brand.

@@dwightpours1261 thank you 😊 do you use American version?
@dwightpours1261Ай бұрын
@MaddyT54321 yes the Australian is too expensive and not much of a difference in my opinion in outcomes

Great video, Dwight! It would be so helpful if you would list the brands of the paints you’re using here - I know there are some brands that are just not reactive, while other brands pearl up like crazy. Just a thought! Thank you!!

Thanks! I do mention a couple times in the video that I use artist loft soft body white. I don’t think I mention the other colors however.

Artist loft soft body white for the pearl pour…
@BrittClaytonDesignАй бұрын
@@dwightpours1261 - it’s the other colors that I’m referring to. I heard the AL Soft Body. Like I said, there are brands out there that aren’t reactive to a pearl pour, while other brands are. Was just curious what brands the Rose Gold and (I think it was) Burnt Umber?
@dwightpours1261Ай бұрын
Good point…I haven’t had issues with too many brands but rise gold was dazzling metallics and the burnt umber was liquitex basics. I’ll add it to the video! Thx!!

Hello Dwight, why do you think your first attempt at video was a failure? Do you think there was too much color? It has already happened to me that the pearls cannot come out and I asked myself this question... And secondly, could I specify if the thickness of the white is exactly the same as that of the colors?
@dwightpours1261Ай бұрын
The first pour, I think the white was too thick so it wasn’t doing much. I thinned it slightly and thickened the colors every so slightly…it’s amazing how just a little tweaking will make a big difference!

What is the mix ratio used between the artist loft white, floetrol, water and liquitex pouring medium?
@dwightpours1261Ай бұрын
I usually eyeball it now a days but would say it’s at least 1 part paint to 3-5 parts floetrol, just a drizzle of liquitex pouring medium and however much water you need to thin it down.

Comment vous faites les cellules, les perles ?
@dwightpours1261Ай бұрын
It’s the white paint. I use artist loft soft body white, and I think the floetrol works as well. The stretching allowed the white to come through the colors on top. It’s all about the consistency, and you have to tweak it at times. That’s why I scrapped the first one, it was too thick so I thinned the white slightly and it worked much better!

I love doing these, but sometimes to much color dissapeared
