You have given yourself one huge advantage in realising that being a guitarist does not automatically mean you can play bass! I have every confidence you will make a great bassist, enjoy the journey! 🎸👍😊

Great to see a fellow lefty reviewing Fender gear. I am very disappointed in the lack of options fender has for left handed guitars and basses. After using a little Vox practice amp I fell in love with a mates Fender rumble, Amazing tones for the price!

I had a Player for a minute. Considering all basses are a little different I didn't like the one I got. But I'm thinking of buying a Rumble 800 head.

Hey there mate,,, what a fantastic review. I have a p bass and a rumble as well. And absolutely love 'em. Once again well done on the review and if someone wanted to purchase these,, it is a great source of information. 👍

Thanks so much for watching and for your kind words. I really appreciate it. And yes, the p-bass / rumble is a great combination!

Thanks for the informative vid! I'm thinking about learning the bass as well,real soon. What bass do you recommend I start with? I can afford just about any bass at this point but don't need to get carried away. Thanks

Thanks Mike. Tough question. It's easy to get carried away for sure. The Fender Player Series P-Bass and Jazz are great. I've also heard great thing about Squire, especially the 'Classic Vibe' series so you really don't have to spend much to get good quality. Check the demos and reviews. Good Luck!

Yup, if you just want to be EXTREMELY cheap without totally sacrificing quality, those Squier 'Classic Vibe' basses are indeed the way to go. Otherwise, can't go wrong with the Fender Player Series. I just like the fact that they're quite affordable due to being made in Mexico and that Fender has finally paid more attention to their often-neglected southpaw customer base in recent years (lol). Would love to get my hands on a 3-color sunburst/maple board version of the one in that upload should they become available someday... :-)

Nice bass. Didn't you get a case/gig bag with it?
@pearlandGUITARIST3 жыл бұрын
Right. The Player Series don't come with cases or gig bags. I ordered a gig bag with it which arrived a few days later.

At some point with these things getting lighter weight, you're going to get neck dive. Lightness isn't a virtue imo.
