Nice job Pearlo - I did notice a couple mistakes though - You actually drew 8 cards at the start - Also Cleo's 'Beefy Tunes' required a coin toss to be rid of the Poison. One more thing I noticed is, when you were struggling to choose between the two Tangos, you could of used the top one with 'Extra Flee' then immediately switch to the other one whilst doing 100 damage in the process. - Just a couple of tips for the future.

All good, no need for tips on this one. :D This game was played on the first day I had gotten my starter deck and lots of mistakes were made while learning the game; from both sides. I've played more since then and am able to strategize better. Been a while since I've played strategy games, but it's been fun to think about things like this again.

The real power of the tango card with extra fleeing is that you can switch into him when he's red on your free switch for losing a hermit. He can get another attack off without taking a hit.

You were my favourite to watch learn since you just picked it up so quickly. The LNC (Late Night Crew) are on nearly every evening playing each other these days. I know it must be such an inconvenient time for you (2000-0000 MST). But I wish you could get in a few casual games with those guys. (Cub, Scar, Etho, Jevin, then Doc will wake up bright and early to join for a couple games before they all call it quits.) So that’s what I’m hoping for - a round robin tournament where you all play each other best of 3, then each hermit and their opponent can figure out an agreeable time. Not sure how long such a tournament would take but the longer the better lol

Given how often the coin flip dispensers spit out the same color multiple times in a row, I wonder if it's truly random when there are only 2 slots(1 each) being used. Perhaps the code has a weighted slot usage order. Probably not, but it's just weird to see it do like 8 of one color in a row. Might be worth trying 3 slots of green and 3 slots of red, rather than 1 and 1 to see if anything changes.

You did great vs an overpowered deck, even when you A. Missed a prize card for like 8 rounds, B. Made 2 big mistakes in card a d hermit selection (which you understood after you did them) and C had extremely unlucky card draw Well played Pearl. Great game pearl! That rare tango card is really good! If you could get another one in your deck and get both rare tangos on the field fully charged up, you could almost ping pong between the 2 of them using there special move and effectively combine there health and by the time someone can kill one of them you would have delt a tone of damage. Theoretically you could also do the same with any other hermit + tangos special + chorus but you would need a lot of chorus fruit. if you wanted to make an upgrade that might be something☺

Hey Pearl, you should take a look at trading someone for a Rare Iskall card, It's a farmer type that that would suit your deck, and it's special effect does *double damage against builder types (160 damage)*. I think if you had 3 of them in your deck, attacking Cleo would have been pretty easy for you, because she has some builder types like Beef in there. Hope this helps :D

I know this was filmed a while ago, and you probably already know this, but just in case: The Composter card cannot be used unless you have two cards in your hand to discard. The Composter specifically states, "Discard two cards." That means it isn't optional, or an open quantity - it is a fixed requirement. The Flint and Steel card, on the other hand, says to discard your hand, and can be used even if your hand has 0 other cards in it. Generally, the only type a requirement of a card is optional is if the card says, "You MAY," rather than stating it as an imperative.

I haven't slept yet (cuz i'm an idiot. It's 6:30 am here), but i saw this and had to click it so i can watch it later when I get back up. And I decided to make a comment because I got the best valentines day gift ever, my 5 am pearl arrived yesterday night and I was debating whether to post something on twitter or wait for ur next vid to say, thank u for the gorgeous merch! I absolutely loved the character and I love the plush. I also hace now realized that everytime a hermit releases a new makeship plush, the previous plush arrives within the month. I got doc's plush just a couple of days after I ordered yours and I ordered cleo's just 2 days ago lol. I love all of the details on the design. The fact that tally still had the yellow collar and leash. I forgot all the details since it's been months since I ordered it, so it was great to see it and rediscover all the little easter eggs and details. I'm keeping it in the bag it was shipped in along with all my other makeship plushies til u have a safe and clean place to keep them. I don't wanna ruin them with a dirty room. I wonder if scar will release a plush in may, when cleo's will arrive 🤔🤔🤔🤔 I would absolutely love that. If u guys actually coordinate that stuff, maybe bring it up to him? I bet its just in awesome coincidence but I figured i'd ask. I'll be saving up money so i can hopefully afford the next hermit plush. (I'm never awake/available to watch livestreams so I usually miss giveaways. And I don't but youtooz cuz I can barely afford the makeship stuff. N I find plushies cuter lol. I have funko pops but they collect dust on a shelf. Hard bodied figurines don't have enough of an appeal for me personally. Honestly I am starting to wonder if maybe dispensers aren't as good at randomization as we tend to think. I know that can be a tricky determination to make, since we're not going to look at each random draw objectively, necessarily, since we have an interest in a particular outcome (confirmation bias, etc. enters the evaluation) but it has felt like this has been happening a lot, players getting a whole string of unfavorable coin flips in a game... Maybe it'd be worth testing to see how good the randomization really is.

I was confused about it first at too! However apparently it's only counted after your own turn is completed; not on the opponents turn. I suppose it's like the 'overall match turn' vs individual player turns. :)

I'm so sorry because I know this is completely irrelevant to the video I'm commenting on, and I know you probably won't even see this, but I was wondering if you plan to upload the vods of TLOU2 to this channel at any point? I don't have many opportunities to watch streams, and almost never in their entirety, so I rely pretty heavily on vods and for some reason, Twitch is just atrocious lately. It buffers every 5 minutes (not even an exaggeration) and often has me reload/refresh because of playback errors, and then it doesn't save my place in the vod, so I have to click through to get where I was, and it throws like 5 ads at me before I can get caught back up just for this whole horrible process to start over, lmfao. Don't think Cleo has the start figured out properly. Said pearl was first, but she went first when she put her hermit up at the start before peal did. Pearl wouldn't of been able to attack if she went first, because the 2nd player has had a chance to put a hermit on the board yet, but evidently she went second because Cleo did already have stuff on the board. Same reason you wouldn't be able to use the poison effect card on first turn. BECAUSE THERE SHOULDN'T BE A HERMIT TO POISON IF THIS IS THE FIRST TURN

Beef updated the rules that the second persom HAS to put a hermit up first, auto afk and will be their first active hermit to mitigate any type advantage the 2nd person can do should they have the option to bring out the card.
