Legit! I'm a redstoner, and when I first heard she made Wordle in redstone, I was like, "....HOW is that even POSSIBLE?!" I mean, it's essentially just a pair of sorters, but that definitely didn't come to my mind immediately like it did hers 😂I think my first redstone project was... a fire that re-lighted itself when it went out (this was early in my Minecraft experience, when I still considered the Nether "late game" so didn't have Netherrack. I...don't even remember how I did the BUD since it was before observers and I was new...). Doing a full minigame? That's amazing.

I have multiple game ideas. 1. If you want to ask for payment to play, you should make a system where you get the game supplies through a dropper upon paying, like a vending machine! You could do that either way, honestly, just adjust the requirement for getting the dyes as needed. That way you can implement the reshuffling process easier. 2. You could have the dyes be sorted by a row of item filters that collects all the dyes and flowers and then, once all are in (toggle if something enters, and a huge AND gate), spits them all out in the right order. This may be overengineering, but it sounds cool in my head. 3. This point is not an idea. I just wanted to tell you how much I love the Wordle and your editing experiments, I love the way this video was edited. It was a little disorienting at first when you showed each timelapse twice, basically, but now that I realized that I prefer it, because it gives a different perspective of what you built and actually helps following the timelapse. And I love Editor Pearl coming in as an overlay, that was really well done!

34:12 That right there is just the Observer _strong_ powering the Mud block, which _weakly_ powers the Copper Bulb. Quasi-connectivity is a very old bug that has been accepted as a feature. When _dispensers, droppers & pistons_ were introduced to the game, some code from the iron door was copied over, and that is where the bug comes from. If you power the block above a _dispenser, dropper or piston,_ *AND* (very importantly) give a block update to that _dispenser, dropper or piston,_ it will activate. It's as if you're powering the top part of a door, which is why they activate. The Minecraft wiki has a nice tutorial page which explains the nitty-gritty details.

Season 10 has just been a rollercoaster of surprises! Having seen both Mattbatwings' and Sloimay's interpretations of Wordle, seeing such a small and less computational approach is really interesting. As a first project, Pearl absolutely knocked this out of the park. The only improvement I could really see is adding a few extra sorters to account for duplicate letters in the same word (I don't know too much about how this build works so duplicate letters might already be possible), but other than that, this is pretty much a perfect minigame

@@zawbones5198 when you drop multiple of the same item they form a "stack" entity instead of n individual items. It used to be that dropping 64 cobblestone would form 64 cobblestone entities, but this was a huge lag source. Etho utilized this by making one stationary and the other move through it twice, the first time only the one it was placed in front off, to check for exact matches, and the second time through all items to check for fuzzy matches. It was quite a nifty solution.

Oh my goodness, PEARL!!! This is incredible!! Redstone is bizarre to me and usually goes over my head, so it's especially crazy to me that you've full-on built *Wordle* in Minecraft! Watching you go from a little mud block farm to *this* has been incredible and honestly inspiring, and I'm really proud of you. 😊 I'm so glad you've found another passion! I love all of the custom sounds, too. Also, I really enjoyed the montage and the epic-style music that went along with it! It was so cool and kinda mesmerizing to see the timelapse, too. I also really like the new editing thingy you did when explaining what you and Tango did (I'm not sure how to describe it, haha)! Your designs are always amazing to me, and the decorations for your game room are certainly no exception! I love all of the little details and feel like I could just stand there to admire the room for a solid chunk of time. Thank you for all of your hard work and for sharing your wonderful creations with us!😄❤

Pearl, the Queen of Hermitcraft. There is nothing this incredible woman can't do. Beauty builds. Friendly and helpful to everyone. Redstone projects. Charity fundraising with scar...and she stepped in and took on the hot ones challenge like it was a buffet. Lady, you will always have my complete and utter respect. You're amazing.❤

That narration when you were standing there like a news weather reporter was so fun!!! I love how creative the editing is, and of course love the creativity of the game itself- Seeing you explore new (and scary I imagine!!!) territories makes me so so happy!!

Call the game "Words to dye for" and add a couple dispensers that shoot lingering instant harming potions, for those that don't guess the word in the allotted number of turns. And of course have a bed handy for a fast respawn after they dye to the harming potions.

So much fun seeing you get into redstone and this game looks so good! Soon you'll have Tango explain how he made decked out. Decoration-wise though, I feel like it's missing at least 4-5 stacks of pickles!

3:00 i get why Tango feels this way, but i do kinda wish he stops saying that he's not a builder. after this build (and the Blackfrost Citadel last season) i really do feel like he has 'earned' (not that i think he didn't before) the 'title' of being a builder, not just a redstoner. something else a just thought of is that it feels like you and him, Pearl, are opposites that are completing each other, with you finding an interest in redstone, and excelling in it so quickly, and Tango pulling off some incredible builds. plus the fact that the two of you are neighbours, and so interested in what the other does. it makes seeing you both in each other's videos so heartwarming. ♥️ (edit: sorry for going on a tangent about Tango on a Pearlo video. just kinda spoke my mind and didn't stop. lol)

We all just need to bully him more-especially on stream. That's the strategy we used to get _Impulse_ to call himself a builder.

I absolutely loved the little clip in the montage of you under the trap door just like an electrician in a hard to reach place! It was only a moment in the video but it gave so much life and story to your build, your game and Minecraft as a whole. Absolutely excellent work Pearl, love it!

A note for your game Pearl! You should add glow ink to the signs and some dye to highlight them, it'll help catch people's attention with the signs so they know where to go. This is incredible, I can't wait to see what else you make :D

Food for thought, if you move the output barrels (Wrong letter and wrong place ones) down a block, you could put a hopper underneath each that could feed all the letters guessed back into the setup barrel, locking the hoppers until the reset line has been triggers and using dropper elevators to restock them

The copper bulbs are powered by a strong powered block because the block is directly powered by the observer. Quasi connectivity only works from above, the way I visualize it is by imagining the dispenser or whatever I'm powering is the bottom half of an iron door, you can quasi power it by powering the imaginary top half of the iron door, I believe the bug that created quasi power was actually the devs copy and pasting the iron door code for other redstone components. The reason its quirky is because the device being powered is not updated when quasi powered so something else needs to cause a block update before it realizes it's being powered and then it will activate, the easiest example is to place a piston then place a redstone block to the top right of the piston and the piston will not fire, then place anything next to the piston and it will activate because it realizes the top half of its imaginary door is being powered.

Love how from a spark on stream this has emerged... ❤ our community !! Really enjoyed the montage and editor Pearl overlay. The basement design is fantastic and really inspiring how you took it from the walls to the wood. Also liked that you didn't try to cram a shop interior into the episode in top as I feel although it was "just" the game this was enough for one episode. You are just blossoming at everything at the minute and obviously having a great time and it shows, its great to watch!!!

if you end up having the issue of people forgetting to reset the game you could try using a waterlogged sculk sensor to detect if they leave the room to auto reset
@dbseamz
@dbseamz 3 ай бұрын
That could be tripped accidentally by someone else entering the room. You would need separate entrance and exit paths, both one-way, to confirm that someone has actually left the room.

The only thing I would change about the game is at the end of the loss message. I would guess that you're not letting people play as many times as they want, so it might be better to not just say "try again". I'd change it to something akin to "come back next week and try again". Other than that, I love what you've done here, both mechanically and visually. You're amazing. 💜
