Most of us Jamaicans have terrible mindset. This is our biggest downfall. Junior byles doesn't have a mental illness, the man is just depressed to see that the message he told in his songs is not accepted by these mentally ill, corrupt, heartless, good for nothing Jamaicans that are creating havoc in our country....I feel you bro byles.

Hi Junior Byles song fade away was a song with a message. I heard this song firstl when I was at high school in 1976.. What become of him, breaks my heart. Its is so sad to see that he did not recieved any loyality for this great song. He deserves better and should have got copyright for his works.

Which is the correct month of Junior Byles birthday, February, was mention, but 17th July 1948, is stated of his birth elsewhere. I deeply appreciate all videos seen in January 2020, of Junior Byles, the man whose songs I raved to in clouds and social parties, as a teen to adult life. To be honest there was so many legends, it was not that easy recalling the singer name, Bob Marley's.was a name which never faded. So I do appreciate Jr Byles, name being resurrrected in memory once more for me. Mental illness can and do befall anyone, kings, princesses, prince and queen etc have mental health illness, it is because theirs is not publish, it is not known: just like the rain fall on the just and unjust. I will remember Jr. Byles, in prayer for God, to strengthen his body and give restoration of soundness to his mind, to enjoy laughter with friends and family. I agree, the interviewer, who spoke to Jr. Byles, when learned of his name and the legend he hold as a musical artist, could have used her dicretion, and interview Jr. Byles, in a suitable surrounding, instead of probing and prompting in the manner she did, making him look in the video, as if he is totally abandon and live of scraps where he goes.

The Junior Byles story is old. And it's not the first time the media and the public tried to profit off his demise. Quite frankly, Mr. Byles has hit hard times for the last two decades. So, most of us have seen this rodeo before. Junior Byles is not the first Reggae artist that got cheated out of royalties and publishing rights. Therefore, it is unfair for anybody to say Byles is suffering because Lee Scratch Perry stole his royalties and publishing rights. Even if Perry did, Byles still had his voice. And most successful artists will admit that the bulk of their money comes from performing. I sympathize with Mr. Byles, but there is more to his story than meet the eye.

I saw the video and Base on what I understand is that they were not trying to disrespect Mr byles but to be let people especially know that he's the great reggae legend who sing all those uplifting and positive songs. I myself have been hearing these songs since I was a child but never even seen a picture of him so honestly I don't think they meant any arm to him or his family. Also I'd like to use this opportunity to say big respect to all those individuals who honor Mr byles for his contribution to reggae music. And finally my question is what will be done to those who exploit the royalty of Mr byles music and legacy?

silver reuben boss so true. I went Jamaica people don’t care when you have mental health. Where is his family, his children. This is so sad. Where is the entertainment government
@shelly-ann99644 жыл бұрын
I want to say that I too have mental heath in my family and it is tough. It's hard to stop the person who is sick at times if they want to walk the street, unless you get the authorities to come and put them in restraint and give injection, it may seem like families don't care, but it's not so. It is tough, mental health anywhere is tough.... even here in North America it's tough. So my heart goes out to the family of this legend and pray that God bless Mr. Junior and grant Him health and strength.
@annjames44034 жыл бұрын
All of this is good but why does his family and friends not seek consistent health care that he so need. We've all seen the reality of his life. We are on the Jamrock every year & the moment you start talking about doing good deeds ( we run a non profit foundation that brings Educationsupplies to 2 basic school in JA....Negril & Parry Town in OCHO ) the reaction is always mute & uninterested look.
