I love the origin of the Hula, it is the solemn prayers of respect and thankfulness for the beauty of the islands. In many cultures to “Give Thanks” was expressed in many ways. Then came people from other parts of the world and from neighboring countries. It was because of the language barrier the talking of the hands and body became the MOST beautiful custom. A communication without aggression. (It’s not the same when the men uses the other style “Haka” as a form of protection from intruders. To them, certain cultures that hides in others gives problems for the families unawares. Best scare them off back to their place of origin). Ohana is very Strong, the bond is tight. As in other cultures also has the same yin yang effect of balance. (One for Peace, the other for a “Warning”). I can’t wait to return to an island I was once a part of and re-learn the language of the “Praying Body”). It is as soothing as a lullaby. I’m still trying to get there. Thank you for the tutorial, you are an amazing instructor who cares so much about the proper presentation of the dance for those who may have not known that there is a discipline attached to the choreography (it’s not just a dance). You have demonstrated its VALUE. Thank You! 🫶🫶🫶🎶🫶🫶🫶👏👏👏🏆😇
