Step 8 I failed and not sure why! The catheter was Velcroed to the mannequin which we did practice in class and I found it awkward so trying to determine what I did wrong

Hi, Nancy! No. Body Mechanics is basically moving your body in a manner that is safe and efficient. You must always ensure that the bed is in a low, safe position for client safety.

Hi, Helen! Yes, but you will need to do extra steps that may impact your time. 1. Remove & dispose of gloves. 2. Verbalize "washing hands". 3. Perform closing procedures. 4. Don clean gloves, then dispose of supplies. Remember, you will want to perform actions in the most logical and efficient manner.

once you tell the patient that you will be grabbing supplies, then you verbalize "washing hands". it just lets the NAE (nurse aide evaluator) that in real life, you would wash your hands and you're maintaining hand hygiene.

Hi, Carolina! If you test under Pearson Vue or Credentia, no. You are not required to clan the labia in this skill. However, if you test under Prometric, you are required to do so.
