PEB with Analytical Modeler: Part 2.1- Generate Main Frame with Analytical Modeler ||Tapered Profile

Pre-engineered buildings are the most common type of steel building and widely used for commercial structures like large warehouse, factory shed or office buildings. Due to it's extra advantages and cost effectiveness, PEB structures are now more popular in the construction industry.
In this new series on modelling, analysis and design of PEB structure, I will cover various modelling techniques, using STAAD analytical as well as the physical modeler, discuss how to generate the 3d model correctly and reuse the geometry information to assign specification, property and design parameters. Also I will introduce several custom templates which can help us in modelling.
In this video, I will discuss how we can model a warehouse structure using analytical modeler and assign tapered section to the column and rafter member. There are various way to model this structure in STAAD, I will cover most of these methods in my discussion and let you know the easiest way to model this.

Sir , Would you please explain us what should be the exact way to analysis RCC building with shear wall and How to provide shear wall in STAAD PRO.

For RCC building, there are different methods and modules to model it in STAAD, module selection is dependent on the structure type and structural elements which you want to include. For example, if you want to model the slab using FEM, then it is better to use physical modeler/analytical modeler. To import any existing floor plan, you can use building planner mode. You can use either physical modeler or analytical modeler parametric model with mesh type "WALL" to generate the shear wall and after analysis, use STAAD Advanced Concrete Design (RCDC) module to design the shear wall using FEA results. @@surojit_ghosh sir , actually we want result of story drift , base shear , and the bending moment , shear force and axial load in shear wall

Surface elements were used to define shear wall in older v8i version and this has been discontinued in CONNECT Edition. In recent versions of STAAD, we need to define a shear wall using plate mesh with proper mesh type.
