Your explanation is very good. Because I am not engineer. But I could fix my pebble steel. You are great Engineer. Thank you very much.

I have an issue with two top buttons not working, bottom one works great. For a long time I had to press them really hard to get them to work, but now they are dead. Unfortunately it makes it impossible to pair to the phone... Any idea how tofix that?

Tôi đã thử và nó không hoạt động. Có thể nào phải làm với cả các button còn lại.

I have the original pebble watch (non steel version), the top right button wasn't working. I left it in its box for a long time. Today I took it out its box and submerged it in warm water (think bath temperature) for approx 20 seconds, held the button down for approx 10 seconds, back in the warm water, did this approx 5 times and the button is now responsive again. If anyone is reading this, its worth a try.

Great job! But do I have to put a wire to all 3 buttons or is 1 wire to the 1st button enough?

Just the one, as I think it's the ground connection used for all three that breaks.

what is causing this error?
@EvenTheDogAgrees2 жыл бұрын
Apparently, the button, over time, damages the ribbon cable and breaks the connection to the buttons. The enamel wire bypasses the original connection.

I have two Pebble Times that I need to repair for the same issue. What flux did you use? And what watt soldering iron? Sorry, one more question, if the repair does not work, would you recommend connecting the other buttons as well? Your voice is similar to Adam Lambert - just complimenting.

I used mg chemicals no clean flux, and the iron I have is a hakko 936. If it didn't work with just the one there's no harm connecting to the others

Search for 0.1 mm enamel or magnet wire on eBay, I picked up a pack of five for pretty cheap. Works well for lots of stuff like this.
