I love this song, but this wasn't her best performance. This song reached #2 on US Billboard Hot 100. Charlie Wilson of Gap Band produced this song. I don't believe "Mercedes Boy" has an official music video. This is probably why this performance is being used. She has a video of this song that listed as Promo Only and it not on PebblesVevo. It could be not officially released because Yvette "Corvette" Marine from Mary Jane Girls was one of the backup dancers and was having problems with Gordy records and Rick James. Maybe that held it up from being released.
