Col 1: 9 - 0 = 9 (is col 2 a match or mismatch? Col 2: 6 - 7 = mismatch so Col 1: 9 - 1 = 8) Col 2: 6 + 7'(3) = 9 is col 3 a match or mismatch? Col 3: 4 - 4 = 0 is a match but col 4 8 - 9 is a mismatch as we have nothing to 'borrow' from Col 3: 0 so go back and reduce col 2 result by 1: 9 - 1 = 8 now Col 3 becomes 4+ 4'(6) - 1 = 9 and col 4 becomes 8 + 9'(1)=9. Leaving the result: 8899 Doing the sum will easier to do than reading my explanation. Practice with a few numbers three digit subtraction sums with the same middle number and it will soon start to make sense. [note I have used ' to represent the complement number so complement of 7 is 7'(3) and you would use the 3]

Hello i have a solution for your problem ... Sir learn one more trick . 216-18 in which take second method 21-1=20 but the next no is missmatch so 20reducing by 1 i.e 19 ok And last part 6+ (comp.of 8 is 2 )=8so got 198

You may know them by a different name i.e. number bonds. Numbers that pair up to add to 10 i.e. (a + b = 10). A good way of visualising them is to draw a circle and mark the numbers 0-9 round it like a clock. The join up the number that when added together add up to 10. They are part of the number facts you need to learn when learning addition; a + b 10 [up to 18 i.e. 9 + 9 = 18] So already knowing these number bonds can make subtraction sums easier if done this way. 24 - 9 = [20-10] + [10-9 + 4= 5] = 15 knowing the complement of the subtrahend (i.e. the 9) means you just add 1+ 4 = 5 rather than the traditional way which would involve borrowing 10 and adding it to 4 and then doing 14-9. The advantage is that it makes subtraction more like addition and if you get a number greater that 10 you know you have made a mistake.

@Vishal , The first number is lesser than the second number. so , Obviously the answer is negative number. Just find 9978-9926 = 52 ( using Spark method) , and put a minus before it. The answer will be -52. You can easily know if the answer will be negative or positive.
