My man! What is it that you are sealing the concrete with at 00:48? I mean the muds and the orange screen. I'm about to build one myself pretty soon. Nice job!

Looks like a fun project. It turned out great. Im surprised with all of the sealing you did on the pool you didnt seal the pump house from the outside to avoid grpund water getting in there.

great job, I am starting to build a pool in our farmhouse. can you suggest things you could have done to make it better? I mean in the design or to save cost? I feel you could have made it a little longer in the length

It would be useful for wider audience to name products (type of, not manufacturer) you've used to make this waterproof, etc...

Just go and ask in your hardware store. Every country has its own producers and every producer has different types of products. The best thing is always to talk to professionals first.

@@stupidocanerosa Friendly advice: never ask a store salesman for advice what to do, he's a salesman not an engineer and will sell you goods with longest shelf life not the best one for you. Always talk to proven construction engineers and ask them to sign what they're preaching for... but I still want to know whats being used here as it's quite unconventional pool build.

@@Helloverlord If your hardware store manager IS a salesman, you better change hardware store. Indirectly, but steadily, you're proving my point. Always ask for a professional advice and, usually, in GOOD hardware stores the guys are all professionals. Not salesmen. Then, if you look for waterproofing products to build a swimming pool in general stores, you'll never find professionals but salesmen trying to convince you to buy the general quality products they have. Again, talk to a professional and buy where he buys. On the other side, a quick search on the net and you can even find the best brands on the market in your country. As an example, here in Italy Kerakoll.

@@stupidocanerosa Professional is a person doing something for money. Skilled person is one knowing the facts and procedures about his field of expertize. In my country, there's no skilled contruction workers or site managers working in sales - all shop managers are in trade bussiness and I'm dealing with such for a probably twice the time you're age. Same thing is in Italy, France, Germany etc.But all this doesnt' change the fact we, as audience, don't know what products has been used in this project. Maybe you should ask in Kerakoll, do they know more about it? Best regards and take care.

@@Helloverlord You did not get it. But that's ok. Just a question: how old are you to be in the business for more than a hundred years? Mathusalem, is it you? Joke aside, I am a professional and skilled marble worker. I do have, amongst several others suppliers, a couple of stores where I do buy products selling construction adhesives and cements, both specialized in this field, one ot the two even producing the adhesive themselves. If I have a question regarding an eventual pool I might want to build, this are the stores where to go. They are skilled professionals suppliers and the right place where to ask for advice from others professionals going there to buy their products to factually build houses. Is that enough for you or do I have to build a pool to demonstrate it? This is the point of my comments: if your store IS NOT a store where professional builders buy stuff, you better change store. Just to be clear, in my opinion, he used a primer, easily a clinging primer on the bare cement bricks and then a waterproofing cement glue. Once all dried, another time the clinging primer or a bonding one to ease the glueing of tiles, filling the grout lines with specific elastic glue for pool tiles. That's how I would do it.
