The song is from what I get, about a woman who falls for the wrong type of guy and it is like a curse because she cannot free herself (girls you know it). La Dance du Poulet (the chicken dance) is also some kind of voodoo dance practice around a fire where a chicken is involved, I think that is what the song refers to as an analogy to the girl's situation, PLEASE correct me if I am wrong. Awesomely dark song, indeed very Tarantino.

I saw a vid. of an interview during which you stated this song was VERY dark, and that is why you decided it could only be produced if you sang it in French. HOWEVER.... that opening statement by the guitar, the clucking of a chicken.... I don’t know, Hank, that always makes me smile.
