Hey there, thank you so much for making this video and bringing it to our attention, we love feedback and are always open to hearing from our users. On this topic firstly let me apologize for the issues that you have run into. We released the new app in November because of new limitations and regulations from both the Apple App Store and Google Play. Since we had to design a new app that would suffice under the new rules, we thought we'd throw in features that have been heavily requested from the get-go. On release and a bit after we definitely received a ton of feedback on what works and what doesn't and we take all of the criticism very seriously. Our team is fully committed to addressing the feedback and making the necessary adjustments to ensure the app is user-friendly. We are actively working to accommodate these changes and optimize the overall user experience. As far as the issues you're running into, from the info provided we cannot ascertain why you'd be getting the check engine light and have issues connecting to your device, while we have seen app-based issues, this isn't one of them. With that being said, we would love the chance to talk more about the app itself and your personal Pedal Commander connection issues to help get to the bottom of what is causing them. Had mine for years! Has Bluetooth, but never used it like that, or the app! Never had a problem....not one! Also, I keep it at one setting, most of the time!

I agree with that I do the same. I have mine set on one setting and usually do not change it. Can I use the app of course but I found that I don’t need it. Thanks for watching and your great comment.

Man…I stumbled across your video a bit late, but great information. I bought a pedal commander and THEN came across videos like yours. I wound up ordering a Banks Pedal Monster instead before mine even shipped. Haha. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you very much for watching our video. I hope the pedal monster works better than the pedal commanders phone app. I’ve given up on them fixing the issue lol. I still have to use mine in manual mode, luckily I have it placed in the car where I can easily reach it. Again, thanks for watching and for your great comment.

I had a pedal commander without Bluetooth on my RAM 1500 Hemi It worked awesome for about a year and a half, then it started glitching truck would only take off and stay in 4th couldn’t go faster than 40 mph! Service Rep at the dealership I know told me to take the PC off and see? Yep trouble went away. He and 3 of his friends all had the same issue with their PC’s also once they removed it everything went back to normal

I just ordered this & honestly I've known about the pedal commander for years but this is the reason I hesitated to purchase it & now I'm thinking about returning it & going back to sprint booster which was my very first throttle controller & it worked perfectly

@@ultimatums1 Actually I got the sprint booster & have had no problems at all, & I've had a tune before on my previous car but this is new car & still under warranty

I would like to know, WHy in the hell do ya need a phone app to control your throttle? Why cant these companies make a stand alone mod, NO PHONE NEEDED!!

Exactly what happened to me and they want to charge me for repairs. I can tell by their response that they know what's going on. Going with Solar and give them a try. You would think they would own up to it! constant limp mode after they changed the app.

Yep so true but they have done nothing to fix it. They did reach out to me when I posted this video and blamed it on security issues for Apple. Don’t know if you use a iPhone or not but I was told they were trying to fix this issue. Fast forward a year and it’s still the same. I’m not familiar with Solar is this a competitor company ? You should have went with the Pedal Monster. There are no issues, and they also have fail-safes in place.

So to make a long story short, don't use the app just use and mount the commander module where it is easily accessible.

I tried one on my GT350 and took it off the same day. Doesn't really work on high HP cars with a stick.

I have a RR sport supercharged V8 which is temperamental anyway. I was going to get this product until this video and now seeing other videos with similar issues. Don’t think I will take that chance. Hope they fix this. Could be a great product.

Yes I agree I loved it until this update. I have reinstalled it in a place I can control it manually and it’s working great. However the app is garbage and I’ll never use it again till it’s overhauled. Thanks for your comments and thanks for watching.

I just installed a PC in my Tacoma. I have yet to install the App and after watching your video, I may not install it ever. I am perfectly fine using the PC manually.

Yeah I gave up on the app until they do a total overhaul. The unit itself works great 👍 and I use mine manually all the time. Thanks for your comment 😊

I had one in my '23 Tacoma. It would arbitrarily change modes from Sport to Eco and then to City modes. I didn't use the APP, I only made changes using the buttons on the device but it still had problems. I did a search on the internet and found that it had issues and would cause dead throttle pedal. Not acceptable. Definitely a safety issue. I sent it back and got a refund.

Some cars it may work for but the Chevy Camaro 2019 it’s a no . I still just use it manually 👍

I’m Having the same problem with mine now My check light came on twice and I have the standard unit.. I’m going to take it out and see if it comes back on if not I’m definitely going to throw it away I’m like you my car was fine until after I added this to my car No issues for a year now this bull crap

It works just fine. You just have to manually change the modes that’s how I use mine. There’s a small control panel on the unit itself. You can change it higher or lower intensity.

I did and they are telling me that it’s in the new level of security on the iPhone and not affecting the android users. However they hope to fix it in a update as soon as possible. I am still using mine without the app and it’s working just fine. I hope this helps with your decision.
