For about 3 or 4 months every 2 years I unhealthily obsess over effects pedal..almost to the point of looking for support groups on pedal addiction. I spend about 2 grand and use each effect for maybe 2 hours at best.

That doesn't sound like it has anything to do with pedals, and more with spending money on shopping. No doubt i could be wrong, but it (kinda') doesn't seem healthy to me --if this isn't an extreme exaggeration about only using ALL new pedals for only two hours.;

Where are people placing the Tensor in their pedal/signal chain? The possibilities seem endless!
@nintendoor13 жыл бұрын
depends on the project! it’s great to capture a loop, and put it in front of other effects when experimenting in the studio, but it’s closer to the end of the chain when I use it live with my band, so that I can turn my drives on/off without affecting the loop. the possibilities ARE endless

The tensor is the coolest pedal ever. It's been my all time fabourtie since I bought it. All of red panda's pedals are amazing (haven't tried the radius yet), but the rest of the lineup, especially the v2's, are hands down the best at what they do. I especially love the bit map and raster.

The design they use on cars is similar to the dazzle camouflage they used to use on battleships before the days of widespread radar. The idea was to make it difficult to judge the size, shape, and direction of a ship when viewed through a periscope. It does basically the same thing on cars; makes it hard to judge shapes and proportions.

@vernal69444 жыл бұрын
2 years later....I got an idea for ya. Run it into a stereo reverb and listen to your Red Panda flip and stretch in hyperspace and turn into a pink unicorn. 🐼 💫🦄
@ZakiWasik4 жыл бұрын
@@vernal6944 my frustration mainly stems from using stereo keyboards and synthesizers with guitar pedals. Taking for example a piano patch and collapsing it to mono creates all kinds of comb-filtering issues. And even if the piano patch is maybe not the most likely sound to use with a Red Panda, you will probably play it sometime during the set and even with the Red Panda (or any other pedal with mono inputs) disengaged, you would literaly have to re-patch your setup mid-set to get stereo.
@vernal69444 жыл бұрын
@@ZakiWasik Aaaaa.....I see. Stereo into mono never works. Agreed. What could you do.... hmmmm. I would ask if you have a send and return but I know from my experience with my stereo effects on my amp if I put a mono pedal in the loop it will destroy the stereo sound before it so that wouldn't work either really I don't think. Is there any way that you could just go ahead and run any sounds you may run into the red panda as mono initially? And then that into a stereo Reverb or whatever? Then when you want stereo for everything else you just switch back to stereo and cut the panda out of the chain (EHX TRI PARALLEL MIXER perhaps)? But I'm guessing that's unrealistic especially live. But... with a tri parallel mixer, mayby not. All you would have to do is play your piano in mono for a song and run that through the try parallel mixer to the red panda, and when you go on to the next song that you want (in stereo keys, piano, etc...) you just switch your keyboard back to stereo and cut out the red panda with the tri parallel . Other than that I can't really think of anything. I agree though, the red panda should be in stereo and would actually benefit me a lot more that way also. Who knows, maybe one of the developers will read this ne day. One can dream anyways I guess.

the 16 second delay has a half speed switch and unless I'm not aware of the features the tensor doesn't have that long of a record time. but with it being update friendly with USB they could over time make this a replacement for a vintage 16 second delay. they should reach out to him to either update this to do that or for a pedal that does. I have a multiplay and a count to 5 on my table rn. I'm definitely getting one of these
@KCruB3ast16 жыл бұрын
also that half speed switch and pitch modulation is also always recorded on a 16 second delay. so you can record your manipulations into the loop.
