I have Viral exanthem that showed up during a bad cold or flu that I have just overcome. The awful rash is hardly bearable especially during the night. My wife suggested using vinegar to ease the itching and it works a little but leaves the skin dry and the millions of raised spots are rough and insanely uncomfortable. Then my wife suggested aftershave and that also eased the itch a little too. After many sleepless nights and painful days, my wife suggested using Aloe Vera after sun gel that we have had for years and a small amount was left in the pump action bottle and I used it in the middle of last night when I was going crazy trying not to scratch my arms, feet, and knees. After about half an hour I felt relief and fell asleep for 10 hours! Unbelievable how I actually caught up on lost sleep! Today, I haven’t itched those places although they feel rough, but I can see a thin film of the Aloe Vera still there. Tonight will be a test to see if it works again. Of interest, I have suffered from Chronic Urticaria for over 40 years and manage it by adding a small amount of Dettol to my bath water and although it never leaves me, I get by without too much discomfort. I drink more selective bottled water these days and I now have Ménière’s disease, and at almost 78 years of age, I thank the Lord for my life during which I have been able to reflect on my life and especially my faith. I hope that this text helps someone to ease the misery that such a virus can bring. With love, 🖖👀❤

Would love a video on hives too! My son has had them on and off since being diagnosed with pneumonia 6 weeks ago. Allergist and pediatrician not worried.

Yes! Will do. Hives are a tough beast and I have managed many a chronic hive situation. In kids hives are extra common. Will put it on the list

Viral rashes were a surprise for me as a parent. My two girls seem to get them frequently after having cold-like bugs which is fun to explain to the school. Are some kids just more prone to getting them?

There has been no research done to look at this that I am aware of though I do feel like anecdotally it seems to happen more frequently in some kids than in others.
