Meet Sebastian. He is a young boy with Spastic Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy. His family wants to help me share treatment suggestions to help children like him across the world. My clinic, Child and Family Development, in Charlotte, NC, allowed me to use their facilities and their equipment to showcase Sebastian's skill and charming personality. We review techniques to reduce stiffness, encourage strength and control. I think you'll love spending time with him. Thank you to this family and my clinic for allowing this to happen.
These videos may be more helpful seen in order as I perform easier treatment techniques first. Here is the link to his playlist:

I also have available 4 children's educational books addressing Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. I now also have 3 professional books "Pediatric Physical Therapy Exercises for the Hips", "Pediatric Physical Therapy Exercises for the Knees, and "Pediatric Physical Therapy Exercises for the Ankles." If you have questions or suggestions, feel free to contact me at amysturkey@gmail.com. Please note: I am unable to provide treatment suggestions for a child I have not personally evaluated.
I am so honored to have people from all over the world watch my videos. I have reviewed and corrected the closed captions for this video so that you might understand what I am saying even if you don't speak English. I hope the directions below are helpful to you.
To turn on Captions, click CC in the bottom or top right corner of the video
To choose a different caption language:
At the bottom right, click Settings. It looks like a wheel.
Click Subtitles/CC.
Select a language.
If the language isn't listed when you click Subtitles/CC:
Click Auto-translate.
Select a language.
Of course, if the captions are in the way of viewing the details in the video, you can always turn them off in the bottom or top right-hand corner of your video screen.

Have they ever consider a Baclofen Pump? Was he able to keep the power wheelchair for awhile if so can please do a follow up video? I have CP and have been driving a power wheelchair for many years and he did really good for his first time so just wanted to see how he has improved.

I know that this family has exhausted many avenues in trying to manage this boys tone. He was unable to keep that loaner power wheelchair but has since gotten another used power wheelchair that he will be able to continue to use. He has made progress. A follow up video is Planned. Thank you for asking.

Spasticity tends to stay the same overtime unless the child develops the strength and control to overcome it or with medical interventions such as medication, injections, or surgery.

Standing in a stander can reduce tone, as well as dynamic weight bearing and whole body vibration also help kzbin.info/www/bejne/eoOUomVpfJmUhNE
