I am producing this video series with my co-instructor, Myla Sunshine, a beautiful girl with low tone and Down syndrome. She lives 250 miles from my house. Her parents were nice enough to allow me, a perfect stranger, to come in and share their daughter with the world. Thank you, again. My name is Amy Sturkey. I am a pediatric physical therapist from the United States. I hope to follow Myla as she develops. I hope to teach ideas to help her learn to move, crawl, sit, and walk. I started this video series after questions came in from all over the world from people seeking assistance in helping children with low tone. The ideas I teach in this video are inappropriate for a much weaker child than the one featured. I hope you find this idea useful and simple.

Just to add on to your auditory cues here is a visual cue reminder. As a former school based PT we put different colored stickers on each shoe and then put the stickers on the alternating steps. The left foot had a green sticker that matched the green sticker on one step. The right foot had a red sticker that matched the red sticker on the alternating step. So the kids had visual cues as to where their feet should go as well as auditory cues. I am enjoying your videos so much. They were helpful for my grandson who was born 8 weeks premature. He's almost 3 and doing great. Thank you again for all your hard work .
