No that's not true at all. He is a descendant of Balmaceda family. And indirect descendant of Jose Balmaceda, Chilean former president of Chile in 1886. On the other hand, his father was cousin of Salvador Allende, president of Chile in 1970. His entire family lives in Chile, except for two brothers lives in Chile like residents. His family has been in Chile for 200 years. He has Spanish blood of course. The upper class of Chile where Pedro comes from has a strong Spanish, Italian, German, English, Croatian, Arab, etc. ancestry. but that does not mean that they are from those countries, since even in the upper classes of Latin America, predominantly European, there is a significant percentage of mestizaje.

I know he's considered "hot," but I think he's just adorable. His humility over his sex symbol status is wonderful, he has a terrific sense of humor, and I sort of see a "little boy" quality in him.
