Most people won’t fully grasp just how challenging what you're doing is, or appreciate how skilled you are at it. Bow hunting in remote locations, with unfamiliar guides and a production crew in tow, is one of the toughest undertakings in the hunting world. That moment when you step out, ready for the shot, but need to communicate with the cameraman-losing precious seconds-is agonizing. I can only imagine the number of incredible animals you've had to pass on because you were committed to capturing the moment for us. A typical hunter might have 4 seconds to make a shot, but with a cameraman, that window shrinks even further. Pedro, you're doing an outstanding job, telling powerful, beautiful stories that resonate with so many. Few will truly understand the effort, time, and emotion that goes into each video, but those of us who do see it are truly impressed by your work. - Chris

Everything you said at the end of this video is true. It is not us who decide what we get at the end, the point is, that we honor the priviledge to go there and hunt. So many hunter will never have the opportunity to go were you already have been, so one step bag and fully enjoy the memory that you have because of an excellent video and production team.... when you open the eyes shortly before you get on the billy, this are the moments when you are in hunting mode, focus on the animal and hunt .. I enjoyed it very much

congratulations on your Capra Slam Pedro . as you said God and the mountains had other plans for you , you never got an old or big trophy , as the size does not matter ,its the experience and lessons we learn on the jouney , maybe your lesson was reminding you you are still young and many miles to travel yet , you accomplished your goal of completing the slam , now you are to follow your heart to your next goal , God Bless you and your family , great video , even with a rifle that shot could have happened , from Canada

A group of Ibex around a campfire smoking cigars & playing poker would also be pretty wild to get on video. You've got to give that big billy credit, his lieutenant was willing to take an arrow for him.

No wonder you dont know what to feel - that is not the Ibex you shot that is laying in front of you. It is absolutely crazy chain of events. The chance of a game running in front of your target is there, but the fact that you did mange to put a pretty good arrow in it is just too lucky. Congratulations with a hunt that you most likely will remember more than any other due to the challanges you faced, you better get that guy mounted to remind you of this humbling experience.

What a wild happenstance. I had something similar with a deer hunt with rifle. I squeezed the trigger on a fallow doe, 70m head shot. Just as the shot released, a pricket behind her turned, and its head superimposed. Accidental double-head-shot.
@roger53222 күн бұрын
Hunting is like life. Filled with expectations. We begin our hunt as we begin our life....full of expectations. However, life nor the hunt always goes as we planned. What defines us as hunters is that which we glean from each hunt. We seek perfection but seldom get it. The perfect stalk. The perfect shot. The perfect kill. And still we are left with something less than perfect. Or is it? Maybe it is the perfection lesson. or maybe it was just the goats way of saying....."I'm not a judas goat" LOL
