IVF Journey Update - January 2023 (Embryo Transfer)

I had my frozen embryo transfer on August 10, 2022, and I'm currently 27 weeks pregnant. Prayering for a positive test. As someone that started my IVF journey in 2015 has undergone 5 embryo transfer, first one did not take, second one went into preterm labor at 23 weeks, son died 7 days later, third transfer we now have a son that will turn 5 in May, fourth transfer resulted in a chemical pregnancy, that miscarried and now our only embryo from a second round of IVF is still here with us and God willing I will deliver 2 days after my 40th birthday. IVF is not easy, but you have everything you need with you. I am looking forward to the rest of your story.

Ur story is inspiring to me. Always have hope. So much positivity here. My FET is due from past 3 years. Its all about our financial condition. We are unable to visit hospital. The charges are too high. 😭😭😭 hoping to see doctor and have healthy baby. Please pray for me ....please please need blessings. I am feeling low and depressed. Wishing all the best for you. I know that IVF road is a super long, windy, and kinda traumatic tbh road. We had our first consult with our REI in August of 2019 and on Sept 22, 2021 (so a year and change before you) we had our successful FET. Our daughter is 8 months now. But it was hard. I had diminished ovarian reserve, endometriosis, and was a very poor responder. We had one failed fresh transfer and 3 cancelled cycles before we had success. Sending all the good vibes your way!

@PedsDocTalk TV That it is. And then just to warn you for whwn you are pregnant, it doesn't get just a whole lot easier in pregnancy. First of all, you have been through this incredibly grueling process with a lot of disappointment so its hard to just breathe and be happy. It's very easy to get fixated on the "what ifs". I don't think I relaxed until I reached 28 weeks and was pretty sure if born early baby would make it. Then it's further weird to be "graduated l" to OB. Here you are used to allllllll this monitoring and now they expect you to just be a regular pregnant patient. Since I was going to MFM too I had a lot more monitoring than the average pregnant patient but it still wasn't to the level of early pregnany monitoring you get with IVF.
