Just one note about Pique. In his youth years he started playing as a central attacker but moved back to defensive midfielder and finally central defender. That is why he had some notions of scoring and would go to the box in desperate moments (or just to be part of the party, like his goal in the 2-6 against Real Madrid)

Forget about his ball playing, tackling. His composure and decision making is unbelievable for his age or in general for any defender. Even arajuo crumbled against psg's pressing in the second leg of champions league, which eventually led to red card and the loss. But cubarsi didn't make one bad pass.

pls stop comparing cubarsi to pique. Pique, in his entire career had 2.5 good seasons for us. He was in fact a huge reason as to why we didnt win more ucl's. He was a player who always competition to perform at his best. If Pau keeps at it the next season he will have eclipsed pique.

Pique is one of the best defender in the world and he does this with consistency which is key in both Spain and Barca. He has won all the trophy he contested for. I believe curbasi is making his way, and I believe with the pace he's growing he can write his own history.
