A lot of people don't realize just how small differences, skill level, playing styles are at the top leagues. La Liga, Premier League, and Bundesliga. Because of the shear amount of top tier clubs and their accompanying development leagues. The difference from, say: the back end of the roster on small clubs and up to the the 10-15th best player is seriously very small, separation wise. It only truly starts to put distance in the top 15ish and higher. That increases even more when you get to players such as: Beckham, Rooney, Ronaldinho, Thierry Henry, Neymar, Gerard Muller, and Thomas Muller, and (Brazilian) Ronaldo, ECT .... But Pele, Ronaldo, and Messi are significantly better than all of those listed and similar players. But here's the thing there is another skill gap like those guys versus the rest of the field The top 15 versus all the guys lower. And one more, Lionel Messi!

As an AIK-supporter (the team he played for between the ages 5-16, before being sold to BVB), I can easily say he's the best player I've seen in the club. Andreas Alm (the manager that took him to the first team in 2016 and later got sacked that same season) got a question from a reporter after a pre-season friendly where Isac scored (this was basicly his professional debute, playing in front of the home crowd), along the lines of "Hey, this Isac fellow, he can really become something, right?" and Alm responeded "No, he's already something". At that time, Isac had just turned 16. My best memory is however when he scored those 2 goals in the derby against Djurgården on his 17:th birthday. It's a big game, 30 000 in attendence and a top notch atmosphere.

Today I was watching the Brighton / Arsenal game. Brighton passed it from their right midfielder to their left back, to their center back, and worked it around the back. The entirety of Arsenal overpursued right as their left centre back received the ball. He whipped it around, continuing the obvious movement and it was taken as they tried to go out wide to the other side. In a million years. Neigh.. A BILLION. Van Dijk would NEVER let that happen, he would simply reverse it to an open man as they over pursued.
