To be fair though, punching nothing as hard as you can, is a great way to hurt yourself. If you don't believe me do it. Shadow box and throw hard punches like you were going to try and hit someone. You will probably feel okay after. The next day will remind you just how many muscles you pulled though.

This is not Peek-a-Boo.. so many people out here claiming to teach it but so few actually know it. And when I say few I mean its like a lost and dying art. With Cus gone Teddy Atlas aint teaching it and Mickey Rooney has the original Cats Gym teaching a select few. Tyson is sharing here and there but never stops long enough to actually build a protege
@tuananhphan6120
@tuananhphan6120 5 күн бұрын
@@mysty0 I think it's short because it's too easy to get. Peek-a-Boo is not for taking points, it's for a knock-out. So you just need to fight like a tiger, fast and aggressive (with this style's movement). Today's teaching seems complicated as they want you to learn to keep distance, target the loophole, saving your gas for rounds, etc.. With Peek-a-Boo (to not become a pro), all you need is get to the gym, training fucking hard to build muscles and get to the ring as a tank. If you gas out first, then your punches are simply not powerful enough, then go back to gym and train harder

Movement looks much better in the latter portion of the video. In the first half, too much of the movement is just leaning the upper body back and forth. The correct movement is to shift the weight back and forth between each foot, keeping the arms in tight and the elbows close to the sides, so that you are effectively shifting back and forth between "loaded positions" for hooks/uppercuts of the side where the weight is loaded. Then, the other side's closer shoulder covers up the head along with the hand as the head comes off line; giving you 3 layers of defense (slipping off line, hand available for parry, and shoulder coverage).

@@gi7685 no he doesnt. tyson moves his head by bending his knees and dropping. not by going side to side with his waist. its physically impossible to be fast using your waist to move side to side. the human body doesnt function like that.
