That was a fun project for you and the BX, the BX is a little workhorse, it pulled out a good size rock 👍🏻, great job Lucas 🙂🙋🏼♂️👍🏻

I love operating it! We moved a lot of dirt that day! Thanks for watching, Luc!

I think planting some trees around the bank to hold the soil from eroding will help in the long run. Grass can only do so much to slow the water down on that steep of a bank. Mature bald Cypress roots do a great job and look cool when growing into the water.

Lucas: I am jealous. All I have been doing for the last few months is snow blowing. It is cold up here in Petawawa, Ontario. I cannot wait to dump the blower unit and put the bucket back on. Your pond is not frozen over. Man, I can only hope. Take care and stay safe.

I really get a blessing watching your videos. One day, a little voice told me to check out one of your videos. Ever since then, I've been hooked. You are literally all over the place. Tractoring, talking about your homestead, and anything and everything in between. Never boring and always informative. You are so humble. Anyway, it sure got cold in a hurry here in KY. It was literally 70+ one day, and like you said in one your videos, spitting snow the next day. Gotta luv Eastern KY weather. I'll be glad when it warms up a lot though. BTW. Your place looks AWESOME! Be a great place to visit sometime this summer, if you'd allow it. My lil boy and girl would love it. Makes me want to wet a hook or 2, though. GOD has truly blessed you and your familt, brother. If you ever travel west in future, give me a shout. We'd love to meet you and your whole family. We coukd sit around and fellowship a while. GOD bless.

I can always see skepticism on peoples faces when I tell them what a BX is capable of, but this is a great example of the work they can do, great video Lucas!

It's amazing how much dirt you can move in a short time with these tractors. That looked like a really fun project with some great results. Caidance would have had the same type of attention span pick up a few rock then be soaking wet and covered in mud. It will be cool to see all planted and growing.

Thanks! I was really surprised at how well the little BX did. I was afraid I was just going to hit big rocks and make a mess. It worked out great! I missed a great opportunity to prove how well I know Caden, because he indeed was soaked right away. I just didn’t get it filmed! Lol

Leaving the stumps is a good thing, keeps the bank stable and you can sit on them when fishing. Yes they'll rot out, but the roots will hillbilly rebar the bank for a while longer.

As long as the roots don't touch the water... Otherwise they'll become leakage points.

Because it appeals to a kid in you. This is like playing with your toys in a sandbox. Same thing, only the adult version. The real question is why kids love to play in a sandbox? ;)

Looks good ponds around here have 10" of ice on them 🤣 No body moving dirt in my area...The big stumps at the end you thinking of burning the brush piles on top of them ?

No doubt good job. I live in KY Bluegrass region. Are you in Ky. WV Va Mo? Terrain looks very similar. I have a B26 steep hills 5acre bottom . Would love a pond nowhere to get 1that nice though. Couldn’t you bring the water level up to Help?
@PeeksPeakHobbyHomestead Жыл бұрын
I see you figured out we are in Kentucky! We love it! Our water level fluctuates quite a bit. I did bring the level up about a foot, but it doesn’t stay full year round.
