Hi madam Your sessions are awesome I have doubt for long time on below two sentences .can you clarify the difference ? 1.if you had asked help in past i could have helped you. 2.if you asked help in past i could have helped you .
@PEEPALLAB3 жыл бұрын
Type 3 conditional - If + past perfect, perfect conditional. So, first one is correct if you had asked help, I could have helped you if you had asked help,I would have helped you

Thanks mam Can we use sentence like below 1. Past tense+ would/could have + past perfect? If so ,can you pls give one example sentence. Note : I knw it can be used as Past perfect + would/should +past perfect.

I like your sentences,but To make a guess about something that happened in the past we use either 'could have or might have' it might have rained yesterday he could have come to temple or he might have come to temple he might have played cricket yesterday.

@@PEEPALLAB Yes madam, When it comes to guessing we can use ' might have ' and ' could have ' in this case 1)it would have rained- malai peithu irukanm. 2)he would have come to temple- avar temple wanthu iruku kanm. 3)he would have played cricket yesterday- awar match viladi iruka kanm. I have seen these kinds of sentences. That why I asked you could we use like these?

@@PEEPALLAB here, I'm not talking about 'guessing ' might have' or 'could have' .I'm taking about 'would have ' without if conditional. I would like to understand the without a if conditional I want to use 'would have +participle ' . 1)it would have rained in chennai 2)he would have had a dinner 3)he would have worked for that company 4)he would have decided to go kerala. . 5)he would have come to his son's function.
