Many overseas Chinese left Canton province in the 1800s and when they came back to their villages, they donated a lot of their money and time to construct this school for the village.
This is a middle school and just steps away from the Cixi Elementary school. Just need to go up some stairs. The school was constructed in 1984 and displays 2 prominent placards of 2 overseas Chinese who donated money to build the school. But many overseas Chinese from Hong Kong, Macau, and the US also donated money. One of the pictures shows the person who also made a contribution to the school. The school was closed because of the lack of students and has now been converted into a guesthouse.
