Peethala Pulusu:
Cleaned Sea Crabs (Peethalu) - 6 No. (1kg)
Keep aside
Tamarind - 80gms
Wash Once
Add Water - 250ml
Soak for 15 Mins
15 Mins-Soaked Tamarind
Extract Juice
Keep aside
Masala Paste Preparation: (In Mixi Jar)
Onions - 3 Medium size (250gms)
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
Coriander seeds - 1 tbsp
Ginger - 2 inches
Garlic pods - 15
Grind into paste
Tomato - 2 Medium size (150gms)
Make puree
Take in a cup & Keep aside
Making:
Oil - 80ml
Add Ground Masala paste
Fry for 3-4 Mins on Medium Flame
Colour changes
Add Slitted Light Green Chillies - 9 (One side slitted)
Add Curry leaves - 3 stems
Fry for 2-3 Mins
Add Salt - 2 tsp (According to taste)
Add Turmeric powder - half tsp
Add Red Chilli powder - 2 ½ tbsp
Fry for 2 Mins
CLOSE THE LID & LEAVE FOR 2-3 MINS ON LOW FLAME
Mix Once
Add Tomato Puree
Fry for 1 Min
CLOSE THE LID & LEAVE FOR 2-3 MINS ON LOW FLAME
Oil Appears
Fry for 1 Min
Now Add Cleaned Crabs (Peethalu)
Fry for 2 Mins
CLOSE THE LID & LEAVE FOR 2-3 MINS ON LOW FLAME
Water Appears
Fry for 2 Mins
Shake Once
Now Add Tamarind Juice (Approx. 600ml)
Shake Once
Cook for 5 Mins on Medium Flame
Gravy Thickens
Shake Once
Cook for another 5 Mins
Shake Once
Sprinkle Coriander leaves
