Elisa was a 21-year-old Canadian student who disappeared in 2013 at the Cecil Hotel in downtown Los Angeles while she was travelling across the US.A video of Elisa, filmed in a hotel elevator before she vanished, went viral when it was released by LA police during their investigation. The elevator doors didn't close. She appeared to be speaking with someone unseen. Her movements were strange. She jumped in and out of the elevator. Then, she vanished. footage from the Cecil Hotel was used to try and trace Elisa's final moments.Elisa's body was found in a water tank on the hotel's roof 19 days after she was first reported missing. The reason why they checked the tanks we because it affected the drinking water and people said it smelled weird and was turning black. That’s because he body was decomposing in the water that had caused it to go bad.

Also, Elisa was bipolar and prone to episodes (hence the odd elevator footage.) The coroner ruled the death likely to have occurred due to bipolar, and said there was no evidence of foul play.

When my grandpa was younger his neighbors where murdered in their summer home at the bottom of the hill down the road “The Robison” murders or “good hart murders” basically they never caught who did it because DNA testing didn’t exist in the 60’s and the person who they thought it was didn’t have enough evidence against him…he ended up killing himself- but, my grandpa said they came back from a weekend vacation, and for a few days before they left the smell of something rotting kept getting worse and worse, and when they came back from the weekend vacation it was so unbearable and clearly someone was dead. Well some ladies having a tea party called the police complaining about the smell, they where found murdered and the bodies where 6 weeks old. It was a father, mother, 2 older sons, a younger son and a younger daughter. The bodies where so rotten and decomposed that the house they died in smelled so terrible they had to burn the house down because they couldn’t get the smell to go away.

I know I’m super late to respond, but the first time I saw the elevator footage (along with already knowing she had some type of manic/bipolar issues) it was almost clear as to what she was doing. Again, I could be completely wrong since I have not yet seen the autopsy report (only heard comments that her medication dosages were low when checked). My mother was in a manic state for almost 3 years. Bipolar/manic/depression etc all run in our family. She clearly had it and unfortunately did not have the finances to remain on any medication she was given for it. I have seen and heard almost the exact type of behavior, minus my mother being in an actual elevator. It almost seemed like Elisa was hallucinating, maybe thinking someone was following her, due to normal nature of hearing others walk around in the hotel and whatnot. My mother can take very reasonable and rational situations and pull things from them like never before. Like catching a few words of a distant convo and saying it was about her, or directed towards her etc. If Elisa thought she was being followed and needed an escape, but was hallucinating at the same time, she could have easily tried to push all the buttons thinking she was going to get to another floor and escape her “follower/stalker”. But may have accidentally hit a button in which keeps the elevator doors open until the button is pushed to close. My mom would have immediately thought someone was fckin with her on the other side of the doors, hence why Elisa steps out and looks. Her hand movements almost seem like she’s checking the “sensors” on the doors, and potentially freaking out thinking that the only explanation for the doors to remain open was that someone was messing with her. Maybe she believed (in a state of psychosis) that the roof would be safer. Saw the water tank. Thought to herself: good hiding spot. Didn’t realize how quickly it could turn into something dangerous since maybe she wasn’t thinking clearly. It could be that the media is hiding something, but idk what to believe anymore lol. Jus thought I’d share my thought process and maybe relate to others that deal with mental illness or are dismissed when they or their family are going through these episodes. Either way, I hope you are at peace, Elisa Lam. 💔

You know, I've never thought of it this way but your version makes a lot of sense. I know we'll never truly know what happened. It is an EXTREMELY HUGE coincidence that the TB test everyone had to get was called the LAM-ELISA, though. That part really does throw me. It wouldn't surprise me if the cops did that TB test as a fishnet DNA gathering expedition. They gave it that crazy name on purpose so they would know what it was for. Idk if I'm right or just really looking too deep into it. Whatever happened, I hope she's at peace now.

ELISA tests were invented in the 70s or 80s I think. Can’t remember exactly when, but much before Elisa Lam’s death. The additional LAM acronym makes it even more crazy, but I’m pretty sure that specific method was also invented before her death. Unfortunately, it is just a coincidence and not some government conspiracy. But the entire situation is incredibly eerie

What water are you drinking then? If your fear is decomposing bodies in the water supply, you're aware that most bottled water is also tap water, right? And even actual spring water is kept in holding tanks before it's eventually bottled.

@@shannonrickard8605 yeah, that's not how it works in my country. Bottled water in here has strict regulations and most of it is water from mineral springs. The city's tap water is taken from a river where dead bodies show up monthly, of course its cleaned, but I still won't drink it. We have our own well which we now connected to our house, but up till now I always went out to the well to fill up a bottle.

This is kinda similar to the case of Debanhi Escobar. Her body was found in the motel water tanks. They kept switch the story saying she drowned but there was no evidence in the body of drowning. Meaning she was first murdered then tossed away in there. Then they switched it saying she did have evidence of drowning but also evidence of being abused…. Rest in Peace 👼🏻🕊️🤍

Elisa has bipolar disorder and you can see that in full display if you look at the footage of her in the elevator. She had an episode at the time of her death. The parent tried sue the hotel for negligence since they actually don’t have the water tank secured and it’s probable that someone like Elisa would be able to open it up and climb inside.
@Teddie_Bear8 ай бұрын
But why did she climb inside.. she was sure to know it had been full as its a water tank, climbing up it she would know shes not tall enough.. so why?
@sauceywater31288 ай бұрын
@@Teddie_Bear No one knows what goes through her mind during that time. However she has history of not taking her meds and having hallucinations, some of these hallucinations causes her to hide underneath her bed in fear. This disorder can lead to one might feel depressed. She even wrote in her blog “depression sucks. I have no control over my emotions. I will be anger for two minutes and sad again. I will be happy for half an hour and be emotional again. So far all I’ve done is lay on my bed and watch episodes of Chopped. I’m just waiting for it to pass.” Sadly it isn’t a ghost story, just a tragic girl struggling with her mental health.

the craziest thing would be if 75% of crimes in this hotel happened from the maintenance/who has access to the security footage, they would literally be able to know how to get past ALL cameras, who has company who doesn't, if they live by themselves etc... it wouldn't be the first time someone would use this power/knowledge for evil, and if it's 2 people this wouldn't be the first time some psychos worked together. 🤷🏻♀️ so 😢

doesn't usually comment on these vids but i had a terrible experience where me and my friends went to rent in an apartment and one day when i'm about to take a shower and brush my teeth, i saw the water coming out of the faucet looking a lil rusty and the smell of it is just awful. i still brush my teeth though only to find out later that day that there was a dead rat stuck on the water tank where the water we used came from. really gets into my nerves everytime i remember this thing, luckily we didn't get any diseases after that. still traumatizing though 🥲
