We can make use of the engine api in the functions. Tools.getdatabase() and refer that function in any place where ever it is required. For instance, we can call this function in the non auto generated section rule which is enclosed with JSP scriptlet that is enclosed in a js function. We call this js through the run script action which was configured for the button click action. As we get the page with the required details on calling above function which calls the engine api tools.getDatabase, we can refer that page in the pages and classes of the respective section rule and refer those values

From 591 batch. Few interview questions 1. We have 200 records in a table and 50 columns are not exposed. We want to display that 50 columns in a screen using report definition. I said declarative rules and then call using declarative join. But thr interviewer said its a page so we can't use that option. Can you give a hint please? 2. I want to create a case every day @ 8 am and we should use connect soap and records should be stored in DB only when the user act on the case. Partial answer I know, but how we can call the user action and save .
