I know negative reinforcement is bad in basically every situation, but I think fear of having to read a mid-2000s Haha Funny Gamer Comic produces better Peggle players. The Spartan-II Program thought they had to indoctrinate children and perform horrible experimental body augmentations on them to create super-soldiers, but really all they had to do was tell them that they had to read a CAD comic every time they missed a shot.

I used to love the Ctrl-Alt-Del webcomic series. Even after "Loss" was uploaded, my first thought was along the lines of: "Okay, so maybe he's artistically expressing a deeply personal experience of his. No big deal. People in his line of work do that all the time." Then, years later after he modified the "Loss" panel to include that creepy expression Ethan has now, I realized that he's focusing more on the negative reactions towards that story arc than what may have happened between himself and a significant other. Expressing an event like that is one thing, but marketing it solely for the comic is...ghoulish, as far as I'm concerned.

I used to read CtrlAtlDel in my teens, and I remember thinking it was okay. Granted, I read A LOT of webcomics in the aughts, like A SHIT TON, I archive binged like a mf'er, so I was often in this fugue state where I rarely laughed or even made that outward nose thing you do when you're amused when you're alone. I was just enjoying going through art and comics online, I think. I kinda miss those days, even if it meant a lot days wasted.
