I saw The Flashback 1979 Storyline and how amazing was it. I see where she came from and everything she achieved is nothing short of a Dream. I learned so much from That Storyline. Eric was so violent to Phil, he feels that's the only way to prove he's a Man.

Actress, Jo Warne and her version appeared in the episodes where Sam was marrying Ricky Butcher. But, Barbara made the character her own ( complete with the iconic slaps towards anyone who hurt her family members, even family bore the brunt of her anger ) and the one liner and gave a better look and wardrobe fitting for an East End matriarch.
