It made me cry. Mujhe meri didi ki yaad aa gyi. I remembered that day when my Didi tied Rakhi on my wrist and exact after 9 moths I lost her due to Covid 😔😔. Har bar ki trh Rakshabandhan to hoga but meri Didi mere pass nhi hongi. Cousins ki Rakhiya to hogi mgr vo Didi wali Rakhi ki bat nhi hogi. We all brothers & sister tie rakhi on each other's wrists.My father had started this tradition which continues till date. Now all the respective spouses are also included, even nephews, their wives, nieces,their husbands, all are also a part of this rakhi tying ceremony. Now it's become a big goodwill festival for the entire family... promising to protect, help , support and care & fight for one another ..... . Earlier this was one festival when everyone used to try to come back to my paternal home. After my parents , it is my house ( am the only sister of three brothers - bhabhis ) that has become home for all to come back to on this festival.....

We are two sisters. Growing up I never missed having a brother. We were perfect as family. However, after getting married I wish I had a brother, who would take care of my aging parents and who will there with them always. I have found that brother in my brother-in-law and my parents have found their son in him. I wish my husband and his parents would also extend same warmth to my parents as of my sister and her in-laws. My in-laws and husband would never understand how I feel or how I wish to take care of my parents as well.
