I’m an Iraqi Canadian living in alberta and I’m fascinated by aboriginal traditions and culture because it reminds me of my culture and how our identity was stolen after the invasion of Iraq in 2003. How can i join or attend a powwow in alberta?

I hear the announcer speaking Lakota language at a Cree wacipi? That is Awesome!
@peiganpowwowproductions7902 жыл бұрын
Hello digg... For sure eh... Nice to hear the languages... Take care... 👍
@nakodasnn75152 жыл бұрын
Sioux language in fact.. as a Nakoda/ Nakota Nation member, I clearly understand what he's saying, I'm certain the Dakota's do too. Not sure where the announcer is from, but all the respect to him for his efforts & acknowledgment. The Cree Nation can put up awesome pow wow's, I love River Cree Resort

Been a few years since I last attended one of these! Miss it, must go again soon, hopefully this summer! Beautiful Culture, Beautiful People and Traditions! So much to still learn from them! But to Learn you must open your Heart, Ears and Mind!

what does all that yelling mean, when he announcing?
@peiganpowwowproductions7902 жыл бұрын
Hi Molina... it's not per say yelling... it's a call out to the people that an event of significance is about to take place... Non-native people may call it a town crier... thanks for the comment and the visitlll
