My wife and I visited Peille on our trip to France and I was blown away. It was autumn so it was completely and totally Void of tourists. We were able to have dinner at a Chet, and talk with the locals about life in the village. Very authentic experience.

@@LucyLeheilleix Definitely, one of my favourite places in France is about 2 hours from there, Bormes-les-Mimosas. I did some work with Domaine de la Sanglière in the town. If you ever get the chance they make an exceptional Rosé.

I’m always up for a glass of rosé! Thanks for the tip.

Beautiful video and quaint cottages that remind me so much of old Port Louis, with its alleyways and private courtyards...certainly French architecture. If only Mauritius had resources to preserve those buildings and designs.

@@LucyLeheilleix i can understand that haha. Even a tropical paradise can not be perfect all the time i suppose. We all like some variety of different places to spend time in sometimes. I have a friend that moved to Curacao some years ago and he asked me. Why don't you come and live here too Alain? I was there a few times to visit him and i just felt too limited when i thought of it. Altho a holiday home in a place like Mauritius seems really nice to spend time when we have winter in europe here. But that is only interesting when retired and i have the time to enjoy such a big investment. Enjoy your trip Lucy :) Take care.

Covid19 has dampen the holiday scene.. it's eerily quiet, almost like a ghost town.. it's missing the hustle and bustle of everyday life!?.. I think I'll wait, the world's in a weird and fragile place at the moment..
@LucyLeheilleix3 жыл бұрын
You’re right. The world is weird and fragile indeed. This village (Peille) is actually usually this quiet though. This was my third visit and each time it’s kinda empty and eery. Monaco and Nice are exploding with people though. Worlds apart. Thanks for watching.
