appreciate the AP kog gameplay, if you're ever autofilled support I really-really recommend AP kog support, I main it myself. A thing I can recommend for even mid is swapping seraph's out for muramana - less safety but more damage full combos/poke even without using autos and even if you have rabadons. Muramana tech was picked up from elite500's kog and the math checked out. My go-to for squishier comps is ludens with early tear into hextech alternator, finish muramana if close to full tear or shadowflame instead. Liandry against beefier comps but it's much better late in general, I know a guy in masters goes hob muramana rush but still goes liandry's for late, hob is good for the enchanter lanes. Gameplay wise it's pretty aggressive and you want to fiesta it 247 to get flashes, return kills, then starve out mid and top with the lead

poppy using her E made ashe flash to hopefully be out of kog range (or somethin), but pekin cast his R before all that so my guess would be it's just zoning, since he placed it where ashe was pathing to. Same ol "ult behind them to make them come close". Ashe could've just flashed away and outside kog R, but couldn't in the heat of the moment

AP Kog can still work if you go with Nashor's Tooth attack speed route. His W does deal % health damage, so if you scale it, it will shred them. Yes, the main appeal is artillery, but building AP attack speed with Kog is 100% doable.

At around 4:26, Pekin talks about why. I take the following into account when deciding between Liandry's and Luden's: - enemy team comp (Liandry's bonus dmg on targets with bonus HP is also worth considering) - champion identity (if they have 2 tanks but I'm a Vex, I might still go for Luden's if my job is to one-shot their squishies while the ADC deals with the tanks) - champion synergy (lots of AoE or spammable spells which allow you to refresh Liandry's burn over and over) - building healing reduction (every Liandry's tick will re-apply GW for a total of ~7 seconds) - CDR from Liandry's is really good on some champsy especially those who otherwise get very little of it - magic pen is of course amazing as well, but there are games where a Maw pretty much negates most of it, or it's also (rarely) possible to have more magic pen than their squishies have MR, in which case it would be over-kill (MR cannot be reduced below 0 by magic pen, only by flat magic armor reduction). But ever since the durability update, it rarely ever happens Liandry's burn also has flat dmg and an AP ratio on top of target max HP dmg, so it will also be effective against squishies if you can constantly re-apply it. Hope this somewhat helps, sorry for not being Pekin (:

@@Niklas_Th epic response. I often forget pen can not put mr into the negative. That's also a really good point about how frequently you can apply the burn, vs proc the burst. It matches kogs tempo better in general. I played this build after the video and it felt better than I remember.

Yeah it's really worth considering if yiu have any AoE/low cooldown spells to apply Liandry's over and over again, or if your goal is to just delete people in one rotation (Syndra, Zoe, Vex...). Also as I watched on I noticed Pekin talks about magic pen another time, so since Kog's AP ratios aren't that high (0.7 on Q, E and empowered R), going for pure AP would probably result in less dmg increase than going for pen (considering the higher base numbers). I actually think 0.7 isn't too awful, but it's also not comparable to a full Xerath rotation for example. There's probably an argument to be made for both Luden's and Liandry's to work well for Kog'Maw to be honest (more bursty vs. lower CDs as only Kog's R reduces in cooldown when you level it up), you can see which one you prefer :)

I don't understand, why do people build rylais on kog, especially in this case, just build deathcap. It gives more damage, you don't need the slow, since you already have a slow on e. Hitting multiple r's in succession is the only thing I can think of, but then again if you could do that if you hit your e first or if you are skilled enough you can do that without rylais as well..
