Ekko OTP here. Just for the viewers who are interested in Ekko, take note that Nashors is fundamentally just better than Lichbane in like 98% of circumstances. Your core combo has two autos so they have the same AP ratio. And Nashors gives more AP + attack speed is INSANELY valuable on Ekko.

Lich is a bait. If you have Lich, you have 0 dmg after your passive hits which feels so bad fighting tanky targets. Nashor's consistent dps is so much more worthwhile. Plus Nashor's gives split potential, just 100% a better Echo item overall.

the reason lich used to be recommended is because you're supposed to one-shot with your full combo, which worked a bit better pre-durability patch. nowadays with tank meta I agree nashors always feels better, but sometimes i buy lich first then sell for nashors if im ahead.

Im also ekko otp and i feel like ur exaggerating a bit by calling lichbane bait. Nashors feels better and is pretty nice in teamfights and against tanks but lichbane gets u a lot of value for picks since u are an assasin. In the end it comes down to ur playstyle and enemy team

if you'd like, I think lisandries + first strike is a suprisingly good build. it helps him keep his dmg for more beefy champs while still doing crazy dmg to squishies and is an easy money machine. I either go treasure hunter + sudden impact secondary OR scorch + celerity for early game adv and to make up for lack of rocket belt.

Ekko main here (well at least my highest mastery). Its interseting they buff the r dmg, I get that they want to reward skill expression with hitting the R, but it already deleted people late game. The biggest buff I was hoping for ekko mid was early games buff (dmg or mana). But I am definitely not complaining, I'm just not going to be surprised if they nerf his R later on. Also the patch notes said they nerfed jngl ratios / early game passive spd but its literally not in the number section nor can I find it anywhere else? Passive buff is huge for jngl, his passive has a 300% amp, so its basically an extra 30% instead for jngl. Going pom is really interesting, don't think its worth going over gathering/abs focus. If u wanted more early game, id rather go minion demat or smth. But ekko does have a lot of mana problems. I disagree with he can go anything in secondary, tenacity isn't too troll but I don't think its worth over gathering/abs. They allow u to get lvl 7 oneshot backwave (lvl 6 with demat). Also his ap ratios are insane. the only other secondaries I think are usable is demat or eyeball/treasure hunter. Also FS is good depending on the mu. also rush ap over things like alternator, not being able to oneshot back wave at lvl 8 is really sad ( u r also missing abs focus so part of reason why).

This is what happens whenever I take TP mid and I don't know how to fix it and it certainly doesn't seem optimal. You TP'd twice I believe, once in lane, which was useful. And once at the end for the luls which served no purpose. So you basically had a summoner spell which all it did was give you a slightly lane advantage early in the game. So I don't really see the purpose of taking it. If you had ignite it would have been used probably 10 times that game. Exhaust also could have been super useful and maybe barrier could have helped you bait with your ult. So when I have games like this I just think that TP feels soooo bad to take.

The problem of Ekko mid is his mana compared to Ekko jungle (once again, to fix Ekko mid Rito forced this champ into jungle like a lot of other champions that were played mid...). The TP in that game gave him a huge advantage of cs, xp and control on the map. Plus, ignite is not an option anymore since they buffed Ekko's passive. That buff fixed that problem imo, and there's no real reason to take ignite over TP, unless they revert the buff. Using your ignite 10 times is useless if you don't have the lead.

Nashors almost always better, especially because of his 3 hit passive which benefits greatly from the attack speed and was also just buffed

Quantum goes lich a lot. I kind of get the feeling nashors is indisputably better in the jungle but in the mid lane you can choose based on the enemy team. I might be wrong on this, I'm no Ekko main for the matter

@@lcintra_ It's not about Ekko mid or Ekko jg, even if, yes, Ekko JG with Nashor Tooth is just insane as a first item. You will always deal more damage with Nashor Tooth compared to Lich Bane. It was like that before the durability patch, but because of the amount of OS possibilites, you couldn't really trade for more than 3 sec without being cancelled from universe when you were behind. You will basically proc your passive more in TF, and Ekko gameplay is about going in, using the ms to leave the fight and returning in over and over. Lich Bane is very trash for that kind of gameplay, and the bonus MS from Lich Bane is somewhat a loss for Ekko.

I kinda 1 Trick ekko since 4 years and tbh I always built lichbane for more one shot power, but after buffs for sure Nashorns cause if u do the math and stuff u deal more burst and consistent dmg due to his ratio buffs and the atk speed cause nashors has 100ap which is 25 more than Lichbane (34 Ap more with raba passive)
